Chapter 44

TimeaSkip: 3 Years Later
Tsukishima's Pov: 

"Please be good. Okay. I'm just going to spend a couple of days at my grandparents." Tadashi said hugging me and giving Toshiko a kiss on the forehead. 

"Alright. Please take of them for me Tadashi." His grandparents we're bedridden. They basically were Tadashi's parents as well. We'd spend so much time with them but they're so sick only 1 person could visit them at a time. I gave him a peck and he got into the cab. 

"Well what did you want to do today Toshi?" 

"Nothing." 

She took her oatmeal and went upstairs. I sighed and gave her ten minutes in her room. She'd been nervous about something all week. I was about to knock on her door when I heard her talking. 

"Yeah. I said it's easier to tell them one at a time. But I never said it would be easy in general." 

"I'm not backing out. I'll tell my father today and my mother when he comes back. Simple." 

"You better not. Alright, I'll go do it bye." 

I hummed quietly and waited a minute. I knocked on her door. 

"Come in." I opened the door and she looked at me confused. 

"Alright. What were you going to tell me today." I said getting comfortable on her bed. She blushed and stirred her oatmeal a bit. She cleared her throat. 

"I was going to tell you... that I love you." She said. I glared at her and sighed.

"You wouldn't be nervous if that's all you had to tell me?" She got up and took a deep breath. 

"I think I need more privacy." 

"You said that already." 

"I- I did. Um I guess I'll say it now." I looked at her and she kept glancing away from me. She turned around and opened her closet. She grabbed something and it hid behind her back. 

"I... um please don't kick me out." She said showing me the lesbian pride flag. She squeezed her eyes closed. I covered my mouth and started snickering. 

"W-why are you laughing. A-are you laughing at me, I- I know I'm young. But I know I am daddy." 

"No, no, come here. Don't cry Toshi." I gave her a hug and she calmed down. 

"I was laughing at the fact, that you had no reason to be nervous like at all." 

"What do you mean?" 

"1. We already knew. 2. Your mother is gay, and I'm bi." 

"You already knew?! I did this for nothing." 

"I mean yeah? You literally told us you were going to marry Mulan." 

"Yeah. I plan on still doing that!" She said crossing her arms. I chuckled and patted her head.

"Alright, good luck with that. How long have you've known?" 

"Um... maybe 5 months."

"Okay. Are you dating anyone." She started laughing embarrassedly. 

"No. Not really. She's just a crush." 

"Who's she?" 

"Her name is Fukuda Suzume." 

"Alright. Just be safe." 

I left her room and she let out a sigh of relief. I was a bit proud of her, since she had the confidence to tell me.
