Evening was approaching and before the sun made it's decent we piled into the van and headed off. The guys parked behind the Aestro building, Jin made sure the cams were looping so as not to raise alarms. Getting in wasn't an issue for them, they could be their normal small selves. I had to wait till they got in and cleared the door for me. Once they had, I was sent off with Namjoon, Jin, and Jimin. The three of them escorted me up to my father's office. Jin wanted to have a full look around while we had time. Once he copied everything off my father's computer he exited the office and let me prep myself. I walked around the office, making myself familiar with the layout. I checked for emergency buttons, weapons he had around.. I checked every drawer that I could to make sure he didn't keep anything like knives or a gun hanging around. Though, doubt bullet would do much, according to the guys they're mostly an annoyance.
"Not much longer..." I muttered to myself as I did one last round of the office. I sat down in his large office chair, putting my boot covered feet up on his desk, I leaned back in the chair a bit. I adjusted the leather jacket I had on over the basic black tank top. I brushed my hands along my jean covered legs, trying not to fidget too much. My eyes fixed on the clock on the left hand wall of my father's office.
I was getting anxious.. and then.. I felt a small hand against my own. I looked down to see Namjoon, in his chibi form. His hand on mine, trying to provide some comfort. I smiled down at him.
"It will be okay Ella. I'll be right here." He said to me.
"I'll be okay. You should hide though." I encouraged.
"Alright. Just remember. I'll be here. Just call for me." He looked worried but sure. I nodded to him and watched him slide back down the side of the chair. He scurried off, I noticed the vent on the side of wall near the floor. He must have come in from there. I smiled, feeling comforted to know he'd be near. I knew the others would be near as well. After all.. they were just going to blow up the basement.
Time seemed to draw on, I continued to watch the clock.
Tick.
Tok.
Tick.
Tok.
Tick.
Click.
The handle moved, in my mind it seemed to move so slowly. Just descending down as a million things ran through my mind. The door opened, the lights were off and Namjoon had drawn the shades. I knew it was him though. That stupid sigh, that breath of air he let out from his lungs. Air that could have been used for way better things.
He turned on the lamp near his book case along the left hand wall. I stayed still, my hands clasped together in my lap. Never letting my eyes leave his figure. He stood maybe ten feet from me, give or take. He set his briefcase on the chair and pulled out his phone. There would be no phone calls out though... he frowned as he looked at his cell and I let the smirk decorate my face.
"Cell towers... never reliable." I said in the dark. He jumped a little and briskly walked back to the door, he turned on the light, blinking to let his eyes adjust.
"What?" He questioned. I moved from side to side, letting the office chair sway with my movements. He crossed his arms and glared at me.
"What the hell do you want now, Ella? Didn't I make things clear before?" He questioned.
"Oh, crystal clear." I replied. "But I apparently didn't make myself clear. Father." I grinned and he turned, putting his hand on the door knob he tried to give it a turn.
