3rd Person POV

Brooklyn and Steve had fallen asleep on the roof, wrapped in each other's arms. Brooklyn had managed to sleep the full night, without any nightmares, which was unusual for her, but she welcomed the sleep that she longingly needed and desired.

Clint was on breakfast duty this morning, so he was cooking up a full breakfast after last night's party.

"Did anyone see Brooklyn and Steve last night? He disappeared to go look for and they never came back." Clint was curious as to their whereabouts, Tony had yet to appear this morning as well. "Just thinking if we want Ste-"

"Is Brooklyn down here?" Tony interjected, "she isn't in her room, Steve isn't in his either."

"Too late." Clint kept making breakfast as the timer started to go off.

"Tony, I'm sure they're fine. Just sit down and leave them be." Nat laughed; she was the only one to get away with saying something like that to Tony.

"You're like a sister to that girl, and you aren't worried about where they are." She shrugged it off, Nat knew Steve wouldn't do anything to Brooklyn.

"They're probably out on a run." Peter spoke up with a mouthful of bacon. "What? That's what they always do before breakfast."

"See? They'll be back soon Tony," Clint handed him a plate of food.

Back on the roof.

Steve and Brooklyn had both began to stir due to the sun, waking them up. Brooklyn shot up realising where they were.

"Steve, Steve wake up." She shook him until he woke.

"Woah, I'm up I'm up. What's wrong?" He rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he groggily sat up. "Oh shit." Now alert to where they were.

"Language Captain Rogers and yeah. My Dad is going to kill us. We slept out here all night." They both looked at each other and started laughing, full on stomach twisting laughter. Between the laughter Brooklyn attempted to say, "we slept on the roof all night."

The laughter dies down, "we are so dead."

"Nah, it'll be fine. Wait, I slept all night."

"Yeah?" Steve was confused to what Brooklyn was getting at.

"I haven't slept all night long in, I don't know, years. I didn't wake from a nightmare or anything last night, or did I?" She was hoping she didn't.

"No, you definitely slept all night."

She shrieks in happiness as she grabs her shoes and skips to the hatch. "You coming?" She opens the hatch as she waits for Steve. Smirking he runs after her.

"Where the hell have you been Brooklyn Quinn Stark!?" Tony wasn't mad when he saw his daughter, he was just worried, but she didn't know that. "You were with Rogers all night?" Now he was slightly angry.

"Shit, you used my full name." She was worried and slightly scared.

"Yes, I used your full name. Now tell me where you've been all night."

"Well, I-erm-I sort of left the party -as you know- and went to the roof, it's the place where I feel safe in the compound, I guess. And well, Steve came looking for me and we got talking about our pasts and stuff and he taught me about the constellations and we-urm-sort of-erm fell asleep on the roof." She rushed as she spoke, "I'm sorry Dad." But she felt as though she had done something to disappoint him.

He pulled his daughter into a tight embrace, "Brooklyn, it's alright. I was just worried when you hadn't showed for breakfast and your bed hadn't been slept in." They pulled apart, he kept his arms on her shoulder, "but let's keep the 'sleep overs' to a zero, eh?" He looks between the two.
