Elsie Granger

"Ron?" Harry whispered as the footsteps got closer. They still aren't loud, but loud enough so we could both hear them.

"Harry?" he asks.

Harry took off his invisibility cloak and Ron shined the light from his wand toward him.

"What are you two love birds doing?" Harry asked, "Under a staircase at midnight."

"It isn't midnight," I laughed.

"Yes it is," Harry responded.

"How are we going to get back to our rooms without getting in trouble?" I asked.

The last thing I want is to get caught out of bed and have to serve detention with Malfoy.

"I can bring you back under my invisibility cloak," Harry replied, "The fat lady will let us in, you'll have to sleep in the Gryffindor common room."

"Are you mad?" I exclaimed, "That's the worst bloody idea I've ever heard."

"How did you find us here anyway?" Ron asked.

"The Marauders map that your brothers gave me."

"You got it back?" I questioned.

"You'd be surprised how easy it was," Harry sighed, "It was left in almost plain sight, and with no supervision."

After our lengthy conversation underneath the stairs, Harry made up a plan. He'll bring Ron back to the dormitories, and then me.

Walking with the invisibility cloak was strange, being able to see everything, but nobody sees you.

An unreal feeling.

We made sure to stay quiet as we walked and eventually approached the Gryffindor common room. It was a place I had never been before, only heard stories about.

Ron and Harry had both told me about what it's like to be inside, as well as what the inside of the Ravenclaw common room looks like. Hermionie had told me a few things about it, but as we did not speak very often, I didn't learn much.

As soon as we entered, the room was overwhelmingly red, which I expected, but it was still a shock.

"You can either sleep on the sofa, or I can wake Ginny or your sister to make you a bed in the girls dormitory," Harry spoke kindly.

"I'll just sleep here," I pointed to the sofa, "May I borrow a blanket as well?"

"Oh, yes."

Harry rushed to his dormitory while I got settled on the sofa. It definitely wasn't as comfortable as my bed, but it would work.

I heard some whispering before Ron came down with two blankets in hand as well as a pillow.

"Here's this," he handed me the pillow, "And you can pick one of the blankets, or both if you like."

"I'll take the gray one."

I don't know what it is about the Weasley's, but every time I see them, it's like my heart aches for them. As soon as the twins set up their shop in Diagon Alley, I made sure to be one of their first customers, even though I wasn't sure when I would use any of their products.

They were always very charming and kind to me, even when I didn't deserve it.

"Need a glass of water?"

"No thank you," I coughed, "Can either you or Harry make sure to wake me tomorrow morning?"

"Sure thing."
