It was difficult to say quite what was bothering Izuku, but the feeling couldn't be placed.
He pictured where he had stood before on that fateful day, the words still ringing in his head - "You can be a hero." But now, a hero as he stands, Izuku cannot help but to wonder how things might've gone had he not been given such an opportunity. He was, of course, incredibly grateful.
But, was any of this really worth it? Everything they worked for has been destroyed, the youths who once set forth in this world with bright eyes and high spirits now left dashed and traumatized. They're just kids. Do any of them really deserve to have the weight of this world on their shoulders? Is this really okay?
Regardless, Izuku can't stop now. The moment he stepped into that building, Izuku made a silent promise to everyone: I will save you. But can Tomura really be saved? Does he even want to be saved?
Izuku reaches his hand out to the figure before him, bruised and broken on the ground. Shaking. A man who was once a boy with dreams as well, and a man who has fallen prey to a cruel society. Tomura is still in there somewhere. And he needs to be saved.
Still looking to the ground in shame, Tomura takes his hand with just four fingers.
Izuku smiles. "You can be a hero, too."
