I remember when I was in that daycare alone. My mother had left me at the small building and promised me that she come back. I stayed there for almost a hour. She never came back. Thats when I had to go to the orphange, I hated everything about it the food, the nunns, the other children, and everything esle about it. The children were very cruel. I was in a Danish orphange even though I was Jewish. The children would make fun of my regilion. That made me feel like my whole life was just a big mess. My necklace was the only thing that made me safe. It was my pride and hope and i pledged that no one was going to take it away. I aslo remember when Sister Alli had told me a family was going to adopt me. I was so excited, that I kept smiling the whole day. I couldn't wait. ~~~This was a little bit of information about Marianna and why she got adopted and some little details in her life. Hope your enjoying the book There is aslo a pic of Marianna and her necklace.
