The asteroid came hurtling straight toward the earth with only 20 mins to go the streets were mad. I for one, slowly walked down the street in a manner so calm you would think nothin was wrong. Now the inside of me was a different story, rushing with emotions the thought of death, sadness, fear, anything and everything bad all came at once. My mixed emotions were so over whelming I was surprised I had not broken down and cried or even shed a tear. I seen him in the distance and as soon as he caught a glimpse of me he broke out into a sprint he hugged me like he never hugged me before. I told him I was scared and he just replied with an 'Iloveyou' it put me at ease as I said it back. I could hear people around us counting down 10, 9, 8... Our time was running out as he kisses me with his tender lips, 7, 6, 5, 4... The kiss was warm and meaningful, like always, but this time it was different and for those last three seconds of my life that one kiss had the power to bring me joy and I remembered all the happy things in life and as I felt the heat of the asteroid a tear was born in my right eye and walked down my cheek which fell to out burning lips with a sting, 3, 2, 1.
