Business deal

Mr. Park, a business icon and by far one of the richest inhabitants of this diversity stricken celestial body called Earth. In his family, a wife and a daughter. A daughter that he believes will be exactly like him, if not better. A business mogul, tycoon and all around leader of the conglomerate. Mr Park wears a Stern look on his chiseled face, hardly smiles or shows teeth when he talks. He is in his mid 50s, hair starting to show signs of grey. His professional look is befitting for his top most position as  CEO and co-founder of the Park and Adams media conglomerate. He is the man that holds the most power and soon, whether she wanted to or not, his daughter, Zuri would fill his position. This is, after all, what Zuri has been taught ever since she could write.

Mr Adams, the COO of the Park and Adams media conglomerate was no different to the professionalism of Mr Park. Both were friends since they were young boys chasing dragonflies in the woods during camp. They both had a dream. A dream to become more than friends, somehow, to become a family. Yes, both men smile not, unless of course they are within each other's vicinity. They agree with each other in everything almost as if they share some sort of telepathy or better yet, the same brain. Mr Adams has a son, Christian, his pride and joy. He too has had a stern control over Christian. He trained and taught Christan all the ins and outs of the media conglomerate. He too was set to become like his father or even surpass him in the industry. Both of these powerful men had, side by side conquered the industry and their fortress of power was impenetrable.

Both these men went to university with a common goal, same class and everything. Some people on campus even sore that they were siblings if not fraternal twins. They were always at the top of their classes if not one then the other, never giving other students a chance at the top spot. Both did however start their own business individually, but ended merging them when the competition between them grew too fierce. That is how they ended up with the most powerful media company ever. With all of this closeness they had brewing between them, they still felt it was not enough to connect them for life and make them family.

That is how the idea came about. They would make their children marry each other and it was decided. Did it matter if that was what their children wanted? No sir, no ma'am it did not. They shook hands on it and even went as far as signing a contract that stated that, neither of their offspring would get any money, power or even a roof over their head should they decide otherwise on the ordeal. They would be banished and shunned, not even allowed to use their family names. This would make their lives especially more difficult since they do not have any connections other than the ones their families introduced them to. They knew no other world than this one and being banished would result in their complete ruin. Mr Park and Mr Adams agreed to this like it was any other ordinary business deal. After all, they love each other and so should their children.
