My name is Alex Valentine. I live in a small town called Rosefield, on the egde of a big city known as Crux. A lot of things happen here but nothing ever like what I had experiened. I was making my usual rounds around the town to check on things. I passed the bakery down the street from my house, then grabbed a book at the book store a few blocks away, finaly I stopped at the old abandoned house on the farthest end of town. Nothing out of the ordinary. I sat under the old willow tree where I always sat to read and cracked open the knew book i got, "The Book of Immortals". I began to read and time went by as the pages passed. The out of nowhere I heard a girl's laughter and looked up a little confused.

"Noone ever visited this part of town let alone this house." I thought to myself.

Noone was around to put the voice to. I tried to go back to reading but as soon as I got back to my page I heard it again. This time it came coupled with the sound of a door sueaking open. I looked over to the door just in time to see someone run inside.

"Hey!" I yelled out. "Don't go in there it's not safe!" It was to late, I realized that I would have to go in after them if I was to find out if they were okay.

I stood at the door paralyzed by fear. For all the times I had been to this house I had never had the courage to venture inside.

"Hello?" I asked foolishly at the door.

Finally I forced myself to go inside. It was dusty and there was no furniture. The main room led to a hallway that hadn't been walked through in years but I saw fresh footprints in the dirt and dust that led back to the back bedroom. The door was cracked.

"Hello?" I asked again. There was no reply.

It took me a second but i slowly entered the room. There was no one inside. I was relieved bit at the same time worried about my sanity. Had I been coming to this place so long that my mind imagined I finally had company to sit with? I turned to leave, when out of the closet jumped a young woman holding a small dagger. She backed me up against the wall next to the door holding the knife to my throat.

"What are you doing here!" She yelled.

I carefully explained that I always read by the tree out front and saw someone and decided to see if everything was okay. The woman calmed down. She took the knife away from my throat but her gaze remained fixed on me.

"What are you doing here and is that knife really needed?" I asked. She looked me over again and relaxed a little more.

"There's just things that always follow and attack me so I can't be to careful." She explained.

Okay now I was intrested. "What kind of things." I asked.

She was reluctant but began to tell me. "All kinds of creatures from different worlds." She said seriously.

I stared at her for a second but she didn't flinch, not even for a second. I stood there thinking to myself could she actually be telling the truth? Could she acutualy be getting attack by these so called creatures? I had no choice but to believed what she was saying. If I doubted her or told her she needed help she might just stab me after all.

"So what's your name and when do these things normally attack you?" I asked her curiously.

"My name is Sara Rebels." She said. "And they usually attack at random so I never really know.

We sat there in the empty house talking about all the different creatures that she had seen over the years. We talked for what seemed like forever. It started to get real late so I knew I'd have to go back home soon. I told Sara that I had to go and she immediately asked if I'd be back. I told her that it was a daily routine and I would meet her by the willow tree tomorrow. She smiled and we said or goodbyes.
