"I wanna show you something," Justin grabs my hand taking me upstairs
"Are we going to your room?" I laughed
"Maybe," He wiggled his brows
I'd been to Justin's room a couple of times, it was neat nothing out of the ordinary occupied his large room.
"I got my bed changed to those bouncy ones," He informed me his eyes twinkling and I smiled pulling off my shoes.
"Then let's get bouncing," I replied climbing on his bed and jumping
"This is bouncy!" I laughed and he flips while jumping falling on his back
I joined him lying next to him and sighing.
"What's wrong?"
"Your family...Your mom and dad they've got their shit together," I laughed covering my mouth as I cursed out
"You've got a dad," He pointed out
"Yeah," I sighed "But like my mom and dad, they don't have their shit together,"
"It doesn't matter, they live together, they are still married what difference does it make? If she's around or not,"
I shifted away from him looking into his eyes "Tell me you're not being serious right now," I laughed
"What? I mean she's alive...she's just busy...making money, what's so bad about that,"
"Oh my God," I stood up from the bed laughing sarcastically "what's so bad about that? What's so bad that I have a mother but she doesn't have time for me because she loves her job more than me?"
"Look babe, you've got people that love you, I do, Vivi does, Ana, Mel, Coco, Ethan, and Nico they all do,"
"What are you saying?" I questioned incredulously
"Babe-"
I held up my hand shutting him up, I pinched the bridge of my nose before picking up my phone and calling for an Uber.
Five minutes until the Uber is here.
"What are you doing?"
"Calling for an Uber,"
"If I said something you didn't like tell me, I'll apologize, no need to blow it out of proportion,"
I laughed manically "Blow it out of proportion! You're talking about my mom like I don't need her,"
"I-"
"My Uber is here," I declared heading downstairs and making sure to slam the door shut
Roxy and Justin's mom were watching a movie when I got downstairs, giving his mom a smile I pull Roxy from the couch.
"Why isn't Justin driving us back?" She questioned and his mom looked at me with interest
"He has a headache so I told him not to worry," I smiled at Roxy yanking her out of the house
"We know you fought," Roxy rolled her eyes crossing her arms across her chest
"What do you mean by 'we',"
"His mom and I, who else do you think,"
"Oh my God, you didn't hear what it was about right?"
"Nope," she shook her head and I relax in the seat still embarrassed his mom knew we got into a fight
...
Lee appeared at school the next day to my utmost surprise.
"Lee! Where have you been?" I ran up to him making him startled
"Oh, My God!" He breathed "I've been working,"
"What do you mean working?" I frowned
"I have a job," He shrugged
"Lee-" I started before the bell rang signaling the start of another period
"I'll see you after school okay? Wait for me by my locker,"
"Okay," he nodded
The last bell rang and I rushed out of the class to my locker. Leon is there leaning on my locker staring at the floor his black hair falling into his eyes and I walked up to him hoping to find out why he had to be absent for a whole week because of work.
"Hey," I smiled walking up to him
"Let's talk on the way home?" I asked
"Yeah," he nodded
"Hold up let me send a text to my friends to let them know I'm going home,"
"Okay,"
I sent a quick text to Vivi to let her know I'm going home on my own.
We walked for a bit before I spoke up.
"So where have you been?"
"Working," He replied and I stared at him confused
"My rent isn't going to pay itself," He chuckled
"What do you mean your rent?" I questioned frowning
"House rent,"
"You don't live with your parents?"
He stared off into space thinking before smiling and looking at me "No,"
"Why?" I questioned more confused
"Because..." he started before grabbing my arm "You almost hit the lamp post,"
"I wasn't looking," I smiled sheepishly "Back to the conversation, why don't you live with them?"
He sighed ruffling his hair and stared at me his mouth turning up into a smirk "I'd rather not tell you,"
I huffed in annoyance jogging to keep up with him "Really?"
"Race you to your house," He smiled at me before taking off on the slightly busy street and I laughed before tailing him.
"I'm going to get you!" I yelled increasing my speed and meeting up with him and running past him before he catches up with me again.
"Think again!" he winked running past me
We made it to my house with Lee bent over trying to catch his breath. Lee won by a few seconds.
"Jeez," I laughed "You're out of breath already?"
"What do you think?" He coughed "I'm not a cheerleader,"
"Whatever, here," I handed him a glass of water
"Thanks,"
"So you're really not gonna tell me?"
"I haven't seen your boyfriend around you all day, you guys good?" he smirked and I rolled my eyes throwing my shoe at him, he dodged it laughing.
"The best couples always have fights," I stated and he covered his mouth trying to hide his laughter
My phone rang from my bag and Justin's name pops up. I smiled smugly showing it to Leon.
I pressed the power off button silencing the phone and Lee looked at me not saying anything before picking his bag.
"I'm-"
The doorbell rang through the house and I opened the door to see Roxy.
She walked in and stopped in her tracks. she stared at Leon before she spoke up "Oh.My.God."
