Fate Of A Snow Flower

The Symbol

Yunlan slowly opened his eyes, squinting at the sun rays from above. He caressed his temples as he gets up to observe where he is, and noticed a figure lying on a flower bed. Yunlan quickly ran over and saw Shen Wei sleeping peacefully on it.

"Xiao Wei...Xiao Wei...wake up please!" Yunlan hugged him tightly, not knowing if Shen Wei is alive or dead. Suddenly a hand caressed his back. Yunlan turned and met with Shen Wei's beautiful eyes, blinking at him in a daze.

"Ah Lan!" Shen Wei softly called him. "Xiao Wei!" Yunlan quickly kissed his forehead with relief and pulled him in for another tight hug. Shen Wei also reciprocated as he closed his eyes to relax in his embrace, feeling their hearts beating against one another.

Shen Wei slowly gets up with the help of Yunlan's support. "Where are we?" Shen Wei asked, still a little confused. "I believe we are at the summit of Mount Kunlun," Yunlan responded.

"What happened and why are we here now? I remember I...I..." Shen Wei couldn't finish his sentence, seeing how Yunlan is giving him an angry frown. So he shifted his gaze down, not able to look Yunlan straight in the eyes.

Yunlan made his way towards Shen Wei and lifted his chin so that they could meet eye to eye. "Xiao Wei! Promise me you won't do silly things like that ever again!" Yunlan pleaded. Shen Wei shook his head because he really can't promise something he's not sure he could keep. "You! So stubborn!" Yunlan released his chin and turned away in mad. Shen Wei suddenly grabbed his arm to stop him from walking away.

"Ah Lan! Don't be mad at me. Please!" Shen Wei begged with tears flowing down his beautiful eyes, which immediately meltdown Yunlan's anger. Yunlan sighed and cupped Shen Wei's face. "Don't cry! I'm not mad...I was afraid..so afraid to lose you!" Yunlan put their foreheads together and wiped his tears. "We should head down the mountain now before sunset! Everyone must be worried about us by now." Yunlan held Shen Wei's hand to make their way down but was stopped.

He looked confusingly at Shen Wei. "Ah Lan, there's no need to walk down. We could ride on the cloud." Shen Wei suggested and summoned Wang, the cloud. "Let's go," said Shen Wei, extending his hand to Yunlan.

As they rode on the cloud, Wang started to speed up, causing Yunlan to lose balance and fell on top of Shen Wei. He started breathing heavily, inhaling Shen Wei's aromatic scent. "Ah Lan, what's wrong? Why is your breathing so unsteady?" Shen Wei asked innocently.

"It's hard to breathe without you now!" Yunlan quickly captured Shen Wei's lips, sucking in his sweet nectar. "Your cloud is going too fast, slow it down!" Yunlan requested, still nibbling on his lips. Shen Wei quickly tapped on the Wang, telling her to slow down the pace. Yunlan grinned inwardly and continued to devour Shen Wei's lips throughout the ride back.

Back in Zhao's Kingdom, the Kings and subordinates were discussing plans on how to go inside Kunlun Cave to rescue Yunlan and Shen Wei.

Yezun suddenly bolted up from his seat, causing all to look at him. "Gege!..Gege!..He's back! I could sense him!" Yezun yelled and rushed outside to find his brother. Everyone started following him closely behind, especially Da Qing.

Shen Wei and Yunlan descended from the cloud just to meet Yezun, who came dashing towards them. "Gege!" Yezun cried out in tears, rushing over to hug his beloved brother. "Silly Didi, don't cry. I'm here!" And gave him a peck on his cheeks. The others stood watching and sighed with relief for their safe return.

Yezun immediately noticed his brother with a swollen lip. "Gege, what happened to your lips?" Yezun pointed out. "Yeah!" Guo agreed and came to check his lips. Shen Wei was about to say something, but Yunlan quickly cuts him. "Let's go inside first." Yunlan tried to divert their attention and walked away. Shen Wei quickly followed Yunlan like a magnet, with Yezun and Guo behind them. Da Qing and Chu gave each other a smirk, knowing what caused Shen Wei's lips to become so swollen.

"Wei! My son!" King Shen cried out and rushed to hug his son. King Zhao also ran towards them with arms opened wide. Yunlan thought his father was coming to hug him, but he ran past him and hugged Shen Wei instead. Everybody was shocked, seeing how both Kings kept pulling Shen Wei back and forth towards themselves.

"Father stop it!" Yunlan came to pull his father away. Yezun also helped to pull his father away from his Gege, who's getting dizzy from all the pushing and pulling. "I'm your son here!" Yunlan gave his father a frown. "You rascal! Come here!" King Zhao now embraced his son. "I'm glad you're all safe! Now go rest and we'll talk later." King Zhao sensed Yunlan is having many questions to ask him.

Inside the chamber, Yunlan took off his clothes for a hot bath. As he loosened his robes, he noticed a symbol on his chest. "The Holy Grail?!" Yunlan widened his eyes and traced the outline of the mark as it glowed along with his touch. He closed his eyes and gathered his internal strength to the core of his body as he felt a higher level of power flowing within him. He also felt the power could be upped, so he tried increasing the energy level. But the power suddenly bounced back, caused by a blockage in an artery as he spat out blood.

"Yunlan! What happened?" Da Qing rushed in. He first wanted to check up on Yunlan, but only to found him spitting out blood. "I need to see my dad!" Da Qing quickly helped carry Yunlan up.

In the guest room, Shen Wei was already in the tub bathing. "I will be back!" Yezun left the room to collect some fresh flowers for his Gege to bathe in. Shen Wei started caressing his lips, thinking about earlier when they were on the cloud. "Does my body supposed to react this way?" As he slowly dipped himself in the tub.

Yezun then came back with a bunch of different flower petals and sprinkled them in the tub. "Gege! What's that symbol on your chest?" Yezun pointed it out. Shen Wei was surprised as he didn't notice it. "I didn't see this earlier!" Shen Wei traced the symbol mark as it began to glow. "Maybe it only showed up if it touches water?" Yezun gave his opinion. "What flower is that anyway?" And continued scrubbing his Gege's back. Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door.
