It's cold... so very cold.
I'm...floating.
I hear something... voices.
Who's there?
I can't see anything...
I can't seem to open my eyes.
I.. I can't move at all..
Wait.. I feel something.
My arm... something has my arm.
Wha-
I sit up, coughing up a slimey liquid. I open my eyes but quickly shut them again, the light seeming almost blinding. I hear muffled voices around me. I blink rapidly, trying to get used to the light.
"Y/N, are you alright?" I gasped and jumped away from the source, startled by the sudden clearness of the voice. I try to focus my eyes on the person next to me. I can make out the redness of their eyes and the blackness of their hair. I squint and furrow my brows.
"Y/N?" I tilt my head quizzically. I recognize that voice... but from where? My eyes finally begin to focus. There is a short man kneeling beside me. I rack my brain for who he is, as he looks very familiar. I reach a hand out to his face and run a finger under his eye. I run my hand through his spikey, black hair.
Zeldris
My eyes widen, finally remembering. "Zeldris?" I say, tears threatening to fall from my eyes. A wave of relief washed over me. I looked around me, seeing that I was sat in.. a tub? It's black with teeth-like spikes coming out of the sides. I look down and realize that I'm sitting in a clear, slimey liquid. I see more people scattered around the room whom I recognize as the rest of the Ten Commandments, all but two. I furrow my brows. A hand pulls my face away. Zeldris has a look of slight shock on his face. I simply smile at him. He seems a little taken aback, but then gives a small smile in return.
"Do you... remember anything?" He asks.
"Kind of. Everything is kind of fuzzy." I said, tilting my head
"What do you remember?"
"Well I remember the Holy War, all of you leaving to fight, and then... Cusack.." I paused.
"What about him?"
"He came to me all freaked out, told me that something had gone wrong. Then... I blacked out..." I replied, holding my head trying to remember more.
"Hmm. He must've sealed you away to prevent you from leaving." Zeldris said.
"From leaving? What do you mean?" I questioned. He raised a brow at me. He thought for a moment.
"What do you remember about my brother?" He asked suddenly.
"About Estarossa? What kind of question is that?"
"Estarossa? No, Mel-" He stopped. I rolled my eyes, beginning to get frustrated.
"What is going on with you? You're acting weird." Zeldris looked around at everyone then back to me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to frustrate you. Why don't we go get you cleaned up?" He said, holding a hand out to me. I sighed and took it. He pulled me up onto my feet. My legs buckled and I fell forwards out of the tub. Zeldris caught me before I got the floor. He sighed and shook his head. He picked me up bridal style and carried me out of the room.
Room..? No, not a room. More like a cave. It was a dark purple and pink color. Dark magic? We emerged through an entry way. I looked up to see the night sky. It's been so long since I've seen it. He jumps down off a ledge and lands on the soft grass. We walk into a wooded area and towards a little pond. He set me down at the edge of the water. I stretched my legs out and dipped my feet in. I sighed in immediate relief. I look down at my legs and back to the water, wondering how I'm gonna get in and stay afloat. I turn to Zeldris.
