“On the day of the founding anniversary, the sun will paint the sky with orange and the wind will flatten the ocean waves. There on the four pillars by the dock appeared the four ticket ride to Queenline voyagers.” It was the introduction on Arid’s favorite book. She enjoys immersing herself on stories of legends and mages. Being the youngest daughter of an official who owned the largest library in the city nothing much could amazed her except for that book.
Arid have already read it multiple times and Ban her older brother was also getting curious about the book, yet no matter how much she praises the said book she never lend it to anybody even to their close friend Chani. It was a tale about the group of voyagers chosen to compete for the hunting of symbolic eggs, a story full of adventure that will certainly put the young girl’s imagination at full capacity.
Ban was consistently strict when it comes to Arid and his sister’s behavior was becoming a bother to the point of wanting it to be confiscated. Arid was too fond of the book and would never let go even when her brother was already chasing her down the busy city street. Chani, as their aide was just tailing them, he was their close friend but when it comes to certain issues the siblings deal he always sees to it that he maintains his distance.
With the chase, they unconsciously reached the abandoned port by the sea. Arid dropped the book as she gasped for her breath from her race with Ban. The moment she bow down to reach for the book, a sudden glint of light shot to the four wooden poles on the dock. She was surprised. Ban reached her and tried to grab her by shoulder but her brother was distracted by the look on her face. Chani also arrived and immediately saw the transformation of the wooden dock piling into four concrete pillars. Ban trace her sister’s line of sight and saw the same. Floating translucent eggs appeared on the four columns gleaming like about to be cracked open.
From that day onwards the three of them decided to accept the eggs as an invitation and their entry ticket for the adventure of the Egg hunt.
As their journey progresses, the Queenline ship brought them to the forest of Liliana, the enchantress who was cursed for destruction. Arid kept hold of the book as their only resources for the rules and regulation of their adventure. On their few days of stay, they roamed and found the so-called Eggs but suddenly realized the significance of the Egg Hunt. Marks from the previous voyagers had been left and they were no ordinary. Unlike them, these voyagers are born and trained for the Egg Hunt. In their journey, they reached cabin where the scent of magic still lingers but neither of them can even notice.
Hiyana the caretaker appeared before them and ask for a trade, she was a mage stationed by Queenline as support for the first stage of voyagers. She usually asked the voyagers to complete some of her challenges in return she will provide the first gifts of Eggs which will represent their foundation.
