Chapter 13: The surprise

Eunha's POV

"He likes tteokbokki too" I said as I thought of food to buy for the surprise. "How about we'll order the foods before the fireworks?" Sunghoon asked. "I mean that would be great so the food wont be cold" Heeseung said. Right now me, Heeseung and Sunghoon are together to buy some decorations for the surprise. Eungi asked some permission from the principal to use the rooftop for the surprise. Gladly, he accepted. I felt my phone vibrated making me grab it and looked at the notif.

Hey are you coming?? It's already almost 1pm and you're not her yet ;-;

I chuckled at the text. "Guess he's looking for you" Heeseung and Sunghoon said at the same time. I nodded.

"How about this, since we bought a lot already. I think you can go there now. We'll just bring this there and set it up for both of you" Sunghoon said. "But I wanna he-" "You coming with us to buy decorations, and thinking of this surprise. Not only that but also trying your best to make this surprise possible is enough help eunha" Heeseung interrupted me. I sighed. "Fine, just call me if you guys need anything! Oh if y'all bought some new stuffs, I'll pay it back" I said to them.

I looked around trying to find Jungwon. "Eungi?" I turned around to see an unknown person. "oh uhm, you must've mistaken me of someone" I said. "Eh? Come on it must be you Eungi, You just took of your glasses. I didn't know you're this pretty" The guy said. I gulped nervously. "Wanna hang out with us?" They asked. "I'm sorry but I'm not eungi" I said to them. "That doesn't matter. Come on, hang out with us" One of them said and walked towards me making me back away since it's making me uncomfortable. "Look, I may look like Eungi but that doesn't mean you have the right to force me to hang out with you" I said glaring at them. "hard to get huh?" He chuckled. 

"Come on, just a tour around the school. You'll love it here pretty~" The guy said and was about to grab my hand but someone stopped him. "What are you trying to do to my girlfriend?" I looked to see Jungwon glaring at them. "I- oh it's your girlfriend? I'm sorry then" They said before running away. "Are you ok?" Jungwon asked a she cupped my cheeks. I nodded. "did they do something bad to you?" Jungwon asked. I shake my head. "Why didn't you text me you were here" He said worriedly.

"I.. wanted to surprise you" I said looking down.  "aww cute~ But please if you're in danger or if you felt uncomfortable, call me please" Jungwon said as he hugged me. I nodded. "shall I tour you around?" Jungwon asked. I nodded. He smiled and held my hand as we walked around. "to be honest" Jungwon started making me look at him. "I always wanted to hang out with someone special during foundation days since it was boring. Don't get me wrong, It's fun hanging out with my group of friends but being with someone you love is a different feeling" He said smiling at me.

I noticed a lot of people whispering and staring at us. "Don't mind them" Jungwon said as he noticed me looking at them. I looked at him worriedly. "Let's just have fun" He said as he ruffled my hair. I nodded at him. "Eunhaaa!~" I heard Eungi making me turn around. "You made it!" She said smiling widely and ran to hug me. "Of course" I chuckled. "Are you alone?" I asked her. She shakes her head. "Soobin oppa was forcing me to let him come and attend here" She sighed. 

"Looks like you gotta deal some chaos" I chuckled at her. She nodded. "he even brought Hueningkai and the others, PLEASE HELP ME" She begged. "Nah you're on your own, She's staying with me" Jungwon said as he back hugged me making me laugh. Eungi rolled her eyes. "I shouldn't have let you two meet" She sighed. "Shhh~ Fate will bring us together" Jungwon said. "Cheesy" I said. "You love it though" He said as he leaned to me. "Ah! Too much pda! Respect please" Eungi whined. "Hueningkai is there though" I said pointing at Hueningkai who is with Yeonjun and Soobin. She glared at me. "Come on, he'll be a thirdwheel forever if you don't go to him now" I said to her smiling.

"Why are you covering my eyes?" Jungwon asked as he was blindfolded as we walk up to the rooftop. "Shhh~ I have a surprise for you" I said to him as I guide him to the rooftop. I noticed Ni-ki and Sunoo placing the tteokbokki and the other snacks. I smiled and thanked them quietly. "You two can have fun now~" I said to the two. "Who?" Jungwon asked. "no one" I said smiling as the two nodded and left.

I took off the blindfold off him causing him to gasp in shock. "Hey.. You did not" He said as he looked at me. "I did" I said smiling. There were blankets and pillows for us to sat down. We both walked and sat down. In front of us there's tteokbokki and some snacks. I grabbed some corndog and feed him some. "Waahh~ The best" He said chewing it. "What's with all of this?" He asked. "I wanted to do something for you since you're doing a lot of stuffs for me" I said to him. "You don't have to" He said as he laid his head on my shoulder. "And you also don't have to do anything for me" I said to him. "I don't want you to spend a lot of stuffs to me" I said as I ruffled his hair. 

"No buts" I stated as he was about to speak. That cause him to pout. "ah, I also bought something" I said as I took a paperbag from my small bad. "What is it?" He asked. "Do you like wearing rings?" I asked. "I mean I can, why?" Jungwon asked as he sat up and looked at me curiously. I gave it to him. "I bought this" I said smiling widely. He opened it and took out the ring. "Are you proposing to me?!" He asked in shock. I shakes my head. "It's a promise ring" I said to him. "You've shown me how sincere you are making me trust you and not compare you to someone from my past who made me not trust guys who likes me" I said as I poke his cheeks. 

He wore the ring and held my hand. "I really do like you" He said. "I like you too" I said as I leaned to his chest feeling his heartbeat making me feel comfortable and at ease. "Promise me you'll be with me till the end" He said. "You don't have to say it, I will always be with you" I said.
