high school love story: straight to the A's

Prologue: New Boy In Town

it's a new school year for cameron johnson at his new high school, in his new hometown. honeyville wasnt your typical adventurous town. it was actually a town known for the most smart people that lived there. so it was indeed the best city for cameron yet. he aimed to go to the one university that held geniuses from around the world! and so, he was always burried in books, learning something new everyday.

the books were his pride and joy, loving reading and acknowledging was key to his happiness. he loved all sorts of books but by far his favorite ones were romance novels.

although never encountering love in his own life, cameron believed in the feeling all people were craving. so, he never thought that he would've find his first actual love interest on the first school day of the semester.

alexander galliard, 17, tall and hot as fuck. he was the most popular guy in school and in top three smartest students in the school. he was buffed, strong and masculine. not only he has the brain, he also was the looks. he was incredible.

bumping into him was the luckiest thing cameron ever experienced. looking up from the ground, he encountered these blue icy eyes that stroke into his lonely, hopeless, sad heart. it was a strange feeling that he couldn't even describe.

"are you alright?" alex asked him while helping him stand up. "i believe ive never seen you around here before? are you a new student?"
"y-yea.. i just moved here." cameron mumbled his face reddening up as the muscular boy manhandled him onto his feet again.

a pause. neither of them said anything for a solid minute as they locked eyes.

a tension, cameron couldn't describe it. not even in the books he could've find this kind of emotion. he wanted to jump into his arms, feel the heat against his skin, lips crashing into a feverish kiss.

but before he could've done anything, the bell rang.

the eye contact vanishing.

"oh, then see you around! hope you have the best life in honeyville!" alex said as he sprinted towards the class.

cameron's heart rushed. what? what was that? that feeling...

he wondered if he could face him again. he hoped so but still, 'how can i face him again after almost swallowing him up with my eyes'

embarrassing.

cameron tried to ignore these dirty thoughts, while walking to class.

"good morning class, i have a announcement. this is your new classmate, cameron johnson, who recently moved here. please treat him well." the teacher introduced him.

cameron looked up. was this luck or despair? his eyes met the boy again. this time unfortunately, alexander had company.

two girls sitting on each side of him, clinging desperately onto his arms that cameron already dreamed about. mean looking girls, popular, for sure. cameron couldn't fight the jealousy he felt.

trying to hold his tears, cameron hurried to the only empty seat. he silently got his workbooks out when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"yes?" cameron asked. turning his face to the owner of the hand, his eyes lightened up.

"sam?!"
