Dream and Techno had neared the large arch. When they finally climbed up to a the ledge with a clearing, they knew this was it.
It was a wide-open space, and high above it, was the significant arch that seemed to go on forever. It was large enough to hold an auditorium of people, and the echo of just their feet hitting the floor certainly fit this thought. The ground was covered in moss and here and there some dainty glowing electric blue flowers sprouted due to the water that trickled down the rock walls. They didn't need sunlight to grow. Dream remembered them well. The last time they were here, they had to shove George out the way of a phantom, due to his admiration for one of the crystal blue flowers. They ended up sending him to the top while he and Sapnap fought the phantoms. What a fight it was. It was really beautiful scenery had it not been for the hundreds of Phantoms swooping this way and that from above sending chills down their spines. They flew in and out and all around the arch. Dream and Techno looked around. It seemed like they were the first ones to have made it.
"We need to wait for the others to show up"
"Why don't we just go to the top?"
"Trust me, there's no getting around these guys. They'll notice us" Dream solidified
"One of us could go while the other fights" Techno responded
"Right then, and how are we to decide who goes?"
"So what do we do while we wait?"
"Stay low, don't get noticed." Dream said, eyeing a flower nearby

George and Wilbur were climbing up second to Dream and Techno, but they still had a ways to go. Their likely reason for being so close to catching the others was most likely George. He moved nimbly up the wall with blue in mind.
"George, will you please slow down! One wrong move and we're both falling into the ditch again!" Wilbur said. He had been, in complete contrast to what Dream thought of him, quite lovely. He'd recited poetry as they climbed. He pointed out fascinating facts about the moss they climbed against. And he most of all seemed well versed in emotional intelligence, as he'd fully explained the situation between Tommy and Techno, very kindly upon George's inquiry on them. It did make him wonder why he didn't help their difficult situation himself though, with all this insight he had from watching by the sidelines all these years, but George felt it too much to ask that bit.
What had held them up for so long was a cave within the walls of the mountain, which they had had to climb around, while also avoiding making too much noise. Right above the entrance to the "ditch" as Willbur called it, was an army of loose rocks, just begging for a feather to land on them and let them all fall. George really couldn't believe how they hadn't fallen already with the phantoms flying around all crazy-like. Regardless, they made it past, and now it was home free to the arch. Yet something that had been bothering him for a long time now was just too hard to keep to himself.
"Wilbur, could you enlighten me on something?" he said finally, slowing his reach.
"I'll try my best, what do you have?" he said, brown overcoat flowing this way and that due to the wind. George thought it made him look like a superhero, with one fingerless gloved hand holding onto the rock, other loosely dangling by his side. He shook away the familiar look of Dream, blushing, he swallowed his pride, and continued.
"I just, you have. Forgive me for prying- and of course feel free to not answer this question!! But- "
George, relax. Don't overthink it" Wilbur encouraged. George nodded awkwardly, and grunted a bit, looking away as he spoke."I just find it a bit paticular that you watch on the sidelines. I mean, we just do things differently I guess." Wilbur was silent, not angry at George, but listening to each word intently. George continued bashfully.
"If you were to...how do you talk to someone that you used to be able to...but now you can't? But you want to, but everything feels so hard-" Wilbur cut him off with a soft chuckle.
