"...And they know that the laser will get me curious enough to go snoop around that certain area and when I get there, they'll reveal to me that I'm batman." she says with a shrug and her companion laughs out loud.
"You're fucking insane!!" her friend grins at her, little bursts of laughter escaping through her mouth.
Harry stands on the opposite side of the counter, getting the young girls order ready. He knows that this was her first time in Starbucks because she was looking up at the menu uncertainly and also because she hesitated to ask for her order of hot chocolate.
She's Asian, her skin a natural tan colour and absolutely flawless, her eyes are hazel and big, filled with mirth. She also has a lip piercing and a nose ring which makes her look rebelliously sexy, her thick front fringe accenting her wide eyes. Lips stained a deep dark red are pulled into a grin as she watches her friend explain to her why she isn't batman.
"It's true!! I bet Robin is already there waiting for me." she insists, despite what her friend said to her just seconds ago about Batman being a 6 foot tall muscular man, who was also a billionaire on contrary to her being just a bit over 5 foot tall, skinny as a stick,16 year old female and a poor ass bitch.
Harry turns around, so his back is to her and snickers softly to himself when he hears the girl huff in indignation.
"Here's your hot chocolate, extra cream and no marshmallows." Say's Harry, handing over the drink to the young girl, their fingertips brushing slightly.
"Thanks." she smiles at him and takes the drink, wrapping her long skinny fingers around the warm cup before turning around and exiting the shop, Harry's eyes never leaving her lithe figure until she turns a corner and disappears out of site, her accomplice in tow.
He sighs, almost dreamily but shakes himself out of his stupor, knowing full well that it's -wrong- to think about a 16 year old girl in such a crude manner, him being 22 and all.
Harry doesn't see the strange but quirky girl again until December, 3 months after their first encounter, but he remembers her like it's second nature and he's known her for years.
She stumbles into the shop, alone this time, pulling down the hood of her fitted Parker jacket and shoves her hands into her coat pocket before taking out a fiver.
Harry walks over to take her order, considering that Mark, his co-worker went to use the loo really quick.
"Err hi. Can I have..." she pauses, looking hesitantly at the menu above Harry's head.
"Double espresso?" she asks.
"Sure." Harry replies, getting a cup and a pen before turning back to her.
"Your name?" he asks, trying to hide his anticipation as he poised the pen against the side of the cup.
She grins cheekily and says, "Harry Potter." oblivious to her servers name.
Mark, who came out of the back room a few moments ago snickers behind him.
Harry chuckles and writes down the name, slightly disappointed about not finding out the strange girls name.
"You can take a seat, your order should be ready in a few moments." Harry tells her and she nods before walking over to a small table situated near the window, taking out her phone to entertain herself while she waits.
A few moments after serving the costumers who ordered before 'Harry Potter', he calls out her name. Well not her name, but the name she had given him.
