Aqua's POV:

I woke up at exactly 7 am like always, with a big smile on my face. Today was the day that most of the campers would arrive, in the yellow bus that I didn't have the best experiences with...

I shook my head, erasing those thoughts from my mind and started brushing my hair. I was wearing my 'uniform' already because I just couldn't wait, and wanted everything to be 100% ready.

I had already been at Camp Campbell for a few days, since I needed the time to prepare stuff! I wanted everything to be perfect when everyone arrived!

I turned my head to see my co-counselor, Spirit, who was still asleep, so I walked over to her and did what I always did when she needed to wake up. "WAKE UP SPIRIT!!" I shouted into her ear.

She reacted by instantly sitting up and trying to slap me across the face, but since I was used to it, I dodged, still with a smile on my face. "Ha!" I said proud "missed me this time!" I put my hands on my hips and stood there, still proud.

"Yeah, whatever." Spirit mumbled and laid back down on her side, facing away from me and pulled the covers over her ear, making it so that only half of her face was visible. I could hear in her voice that she was annoyed, but that was also normal for her. "Come on Spirit! The kids arrive today, and I don't think you want to be fired!" I reminded her, realizing after that it might've sound weird in my cheery-voice, but I didn't care.

"Ugh, fine. But only because I know you won't shut up about it if I don't." She put her legs next to the bed, and then proceeded to stand up.

Spirit had also slept in her uniform, probably because she knew I'd wake her up early and that she wouldn't want to do anything while being that tired, but I'm gonna take it as that she had the same idea as me. That's one of the things we have in common! I should add it to the list.

I finished brushing my hair and put the hair brush back on the desk where I got it from. I then grabbed Spirit by her arm and basically dragged her outside, she never really brushed her hair anyway.

"So, when are the kids gonna arrive..?" She asked, still tired. "Around this time" I replied.

"There is no exact time, is there?" Spirit said with a sort of disappointed tone.

I just kept staring into the beautiful forest, with a big smile on my face like always. From the corner of my eye I could see Spirit staring at me with an annoyed look, it almost felt like she was staring into my soul. But that didn't stop me from keeping on staring where the bus hopefully soon would be.

However, it also didn't stop the awkward silence we had for a good 15 seconds. Thankfully, I saw the glimpse of a yellow vehicle in the not so far distance.

My reaction was to instantly run at the bus, but Spirit stopped me by grabbing my arm. "You're gonna get hit by that thing again dumbass." She explained, I could sense a slight tone of concern.

"Wha-?" I was shocked at first but then realized she was right. "Ok ok, I'll wait."

The bus stopped and the kids started walking out of it. That also meant that I could move again, so that was the first thing I did, and I was standing next to the vehicle in only a few seconds.

"Welcome to Camp Campbell!" I shouted happily while the first kid walked out of the bus, she was wearing an orange hoodie, and had long brown hair. Her pants had ripped off parts and a few holes. "Welcome back Rez! I'm glad that you're here again." I told her, "I swear to god this time I'm gonna get you and you're gonna regret even thinking about ever getting this job." She said with a smirk, and I had to admit that it was kind of intimidating. "Now that's the Rez I know! Good to know you're still the same as last year." I said, trying to ignore what she had just told me. "What the fuck is that supposed to m-" Rez tried to ask, but I interrupted her by pushing her to the side with my hand and looked at the next student that left the bus.

She had messy long blonde hair and was wearing a blue-grey overall, but instead of shorts at the end it was a skirt, and under the overall she was wearing a yellow shirt. I was surprised that her clothes already had some dirt stains on them, but I stopped thinking about that when I noticed that the girl was desperately trying to remove her hair elastic, which made a ponytail on the back of her head.

"Come here, I'll help you with that." I told the girl and she walked over to me. "Welcome to Camp Campbell! Is this your first time at a summer camp?" I asked while removing the hair elastic, I tried to start a conversation, but also asked because I was curious. "Well, I was at the flower scouts last year, but I didn't like it that much.." She explained after I got the hair elastic out and gave it back to her, by the tone of her voice I figured that she was a bit shy.

"Be happy that you could even go there." An annoyed voice said. I turned my head to see the owner of the voice, and saw that it was a boy with brown hair, who was wearing a grey shirt with black shorts.

"Eh, it's not really something for me.." The girl responded. The boy sighed and rolled his eyes and went to stand next to Rez, who was just standing there with an evil look on her face.

"Well, Camp Campbell is a place for everyone!" I tried to light up the mood. "Yeah, whatever." A voice I recognized said, it was Aki's. As she walked past me, I saw that she was wearing black leggings and a black bracelet on her right arm, along with a black shirt which was tucked into a dark purple skirt.

"It's good to see you again too Aki! Welcome back." I tried to break the awkward silence that had formed after what Aki had said.

"Thanks." She said while doing a small shrug and also went to stand beside Rez.

It was quiet for a few seconds, but then we heard the bus drive away. Of course because of the sound, I turned my head to where it was coming from and saw the last kid, just standing there, probably waiting for something to happen.

I sighed but with a smile and stood back up. "Well, first things first." I said and started walking over to Rez. They all looked at me either with either a look of confusion or curiousness, wanting to know what that thing was. It was kind of funny seeing Rez her expression change when she realized, but she didn't care enough to move. I grabbed her by the back of her hoodie and shook like I was trying to empty a bag. A paperclip, a lighter, a small knife and a marker fell out of her hoodie pocket. "Dammit.." I could hear Rez mumble. I took the lighter along with the small knife and gave the rest back to Rez, like it was one of the most normal things I had ever done.

"Okay campers!" I turned around and got startled by a girl standing in front of me. "Well hello there Josy, welcome back to you too." I said, still recovering from being startled.

She nodded fast with a smile, by her massive burn mark that covered half of her face I could easily tell that it was her, same with the half-black-half-white hair. She was wearing a dark grey hoodie that had a few cuts in it, and yellow shorts that had one cut.

Josy was a, special, and very mysterious girl, in the way that the best we could do is just let her be.

"Anyways, let's all head to the mess hall so we can get to know each other and play some games!" I said and started walking to the mess hall as the campers followed me.

I was going to make this an another amazing year.
