The Great Update War

Chapter One: The Idea

it's a casual night, the stars gently shining over the lands. mlpgc is quiet, some of them elsewhere in the land, some sitting around a campfire in the main area of mlpgc land. the night is dawning upon them, darkness taking over the sky and putting the sun to rest. gentle light glows from a swaying flame, it's aura warming the air.

"it's been quiet around here." kat speaks up. the silence that has sat between everyone is broken, and they all come out of their train of thoughts to nod and agree with kats statement. it's true, what kat said. after putting all of their blood, sweat and tears into fighting back tommy neg, the members of mlpgc have been given an unexpected break.

"true. we should start something, to get some action around here." wika suggests. the smirk on her face is cunning with amusement, and she speaks with a joking tone. it rumbles a small choir of laughter, before silence takes over again.

"cmon guys, at least hold it off until tomorrow... i think i'm gonna head off to bed. don't be too quirky." ellen sighs, with the shake of their head. they earn a glance from everyone.

"of course, goodnight." alina waves them off. now ellen has left the group to head back into their small house a few yards away, a strange feeling blossoms. it's like something clicks in everyone's mind at once, simultaneously flashing into their heads. everyone looks up from the fire that dances before them, and they all exchange eye contact.

it's strange, though nothing new for mlpgc. they're always coming up with weird ideas, weaving their way in and out through multiple different arcs. one day they are obsessed with dixie: the queen of a faraway land named Tiktok, and the next, they're reminiscing an old friend Shah.

"smajor." a voice says, cracking the quiet into pieces. everyone looks towards where the voice had came from, and behind alina, stands two other members. everyone had assumed they were off adventuring further lands beyond mlpgc, but here they stand, with grins on their faces as they sit round the campfire.

"smajor?" kat asks, rather wearily. a name that's only ever been mentioned in the past. no one knows what land he comes from, or if he's even alive. he's mysterious, the mention of his name sends chills down everyone's spine.

"yeah! it's a little boring around here, i'm tired of pretending that airplanes in the night sky like shooting stars." one of the people speak. mari, her name is. she sits with one leg out in front of her, as they look out at everyone in front of them. they earn looks, telling her she's crazy without physically saying so.

"i personally think there's nothing wrong with that." wika mumbles quietly, and is about to start explaining how she could really use a wish right now, but is stopped by the light tapping of a hand on her shoulder. kat gives her a look, that makes her shut up.

"mari's right, scott would be a pretty fun ally. the man runs mcc, the big event that goes on in mcyt land every now and then. think about how cool we'll look if we get him to notice us!" the other beams, and their name is sunny. mari and sunnys suggestion causing a light bubble of chatter, everyone discussing whether or not smajor would be good to take on.

"ok! lets do it!" alina confirms, and everyone breaks out into small cheers as wika reaches into her pocket. she pulls out a small metal device, and holds it out so everyone around can see it. purple light emits from it, and a digital screen floats in front of everyone's eyes.

the hologram that is shown has a list of everyone that's officially a part, and signed into the lands of mlpgc. a small blue cross sits at the end of the list, and wika presses it. an endless suggestion lists floods out, suggesting millions of citizens from all different places to sign into mlpgc land. though, wika types in 'Smajor'.

"wait!" alina stops, her shout making wikas finger stop and hover right beside scott's name.

"don't you think that adding scott directly is a bad idea? i mean... we don't know enough about him. what if he's too powerful, what if he destroys mlpgc?"

it's a reasonable worry, one that makes wika lower her device and send everyone into a thought pool. alinas right, nobody knows just what scott is capable of. for all they know, he could have crazy super powers, able to burn mlpgc down into tiny ashes. either that or he'd be super lame, simply taking up a spot in mlpgc that could be used for a much more interesting person.

everyone's kind of bummed, until wikas eyes sparkle with an idea.

"what if we add the update team? they're arent actually scott, but.. they're close! and they probably know way more about him than us. we could find out more about scott and then add him!" she suggested. and it's a breakthrough moment. everyone nods eagerly, scurrying to gather round the hologram device as wika adds 'Updates' to the end of her search. the ID of the update team gleams before their eyes.

and in one click, smajor updates is added to mlpgc.
