3rd Person POV
Both Y/N and Hanamaki watch as Kosaka walks away. By the time the two are sure that he's inside the station, Hanamaki finally lets go of his arm around Y/N.
Hanamaki: sorry, got carried away there...
Y/N: ah- No... thank you Hanamaki san... I know you're just trying to help me...
Somehow hearing Y/N call him by his family name again disappoint him a little.
Hanamaki: so what's the deal with him?
Y/N looks up at Hanamaki and finally tells him about what happened, starting from when she got cheated on by Kosaka, to the part when he forced her to get back together with him.
Hanamaki: that's really shitty of him... dude cheated on you and now got angry like that...
Y/N: I already told him we can be friends... but he insisted...
Hanamaki sees the trouble in Y/N's eyes and decided to propose an idea.
Hanamaki: hey, he did walk away after we said that we're going out right?
Y/N stares at Hanamaki and nods her head
Y/N: ah... yes... I'm sorry you have to come up with that...
Hanamaki shooks her head no, telling her it was not a problem.
Hanamaki: how about this... you want him to stop pestering you right? how about we keep on playing this couple scenario?
Y/N: heh?
Y/N was surprised by the offer, face all flushed though she knows that Hanamaki was just trying to offer her a solution to her current problem.
Hanamaki: well, we're already half a year through our third year, we can pretend that we're together until we graduate... that way, probably he won't come in near you, and there's a possibility that Kosaka will go to Tokyo after we graduate... He got the baseball scholarship after all...
Y/N was flustered and stares at Hanamaki.
Y/N: I-I can't bother you with my problem Hanamaki san...
Hanamaki: then, how do you plan on avoiding him? he literally waits on your way home... he can do it again tomorrow or the day after and anytime he wants.
Y/N became quiet as she hasn't thought about all that. Hanamaki's right she thought, remembering how Kosaka just stop her on her way back kind of sent shivers down her spine. But she doesn't want to trouble Hanamaki.
Y/n: y-you are correct Hanamaki san... but... I don't want to trouble you...
Hanamaki smiles at his chair mate and lightly taps her head.
Hanamaki: it's fine, I'm pretty bored these days anyway... besides, I live around here as well... we can walk home together and I can make sure that Kosaka guy won't do anything weird to you... and...
Hanamaki leans in closer making Y/N stiffen a little.
Hanamaki: isn't it exciting? we're going to fool everyone for four months...let's check out whether we have the talent for acting...
Hanamaki laughs a little. Y/N seems worried and feels bad if she has to burden Hanamaki, but seeing that Kosaka finally left her just after she and Hanamaki lied about their relationship, she wavers.
Y/N: then... is it really okay?
Hanamaki smiles at the girl in front of him and offers his hand for a handshake.
Hanamaki: I guess that question is the sign of our mutual agreement. it's totally okay... we can stop anytime you want...
Y/N looks at Hanamaki's hand and grabs it.
