Someone somewhere

It was 4:50 A.M. , I was chilling idle as everyday with my physics book open in front of me, begging me to do it, to read it. But the weird creature I am, I ignore all it's goodwill advances. There was an upcoming physics test in 5 hours. But no matter what I do, trying to concentrate at this point was useless. I craved the chocolate pastry in my fridge, but eating so early in the morning wasn't good for my diet plans. I debated and decided to give in my cravings.

While enjoying my truffle pastry, i was looking around my house. My home has like two rooms and ranting at 5 in the morning about how small it seems for a family of three (even though it ain't that small). About how the view from verandah is anything but breathtaking. It was really suffocating. But my soft heart for my parents just made me gulp down on my feelings 'cause the love they show me is not comparable and the things they give me without asking is beyond anything.

Just then, there was a knock on front door. I wondered who would have been this early in morning. LIKE WHO VISITS SOMEONE THIS EARLY?! EVEN THE MILKMAN COMES AT 7 am. So in order to know I went to answer the door as my parents were still asleep. As soon as I open the door, I see a man, a handsome 6ft tall man, dressed in suit and tie (ofc it will be weird to see someone dressed in suit n tie at 5 in morning irl), his hair was slicked back (like Peakboy in his song GYOPO hairstyle) I squeal in my head. Guess who got lucky to see a handsome face as soon as she wakes up (damnn I envy myself in my dreams, such unrelatable stuff T_T).

He bows and greets good morning in the deepest voice possible. I greet him back. That's when I notice an old man, looks in his 50s, standing behind the handsome suited guy. This old man had this aura of happiness, pride and well something I can't describe. Even he looked well polished. (C'MON GUYSSS IT'S LITERALLY 5 IN THE MORNING, WHATSUP WITH SUIT N ALL WHEN I AM STILL IN MY PAJAMAS, LIKE OKAY I HAVE OBSESSION WITH WELL SUITED GUYS BUT WHY IN THE MORNING, MY BRAIN...-_-)

Anyway, hearing the sounds of morning greetings and all my parents come to see who has visited at this hour to disturb some peaceful humanely sleep. As soon as my dad came rubbing his eyes, and watched the old man, he shouted out, "Oiii! My man David!" and the old man also said "Oiii! My bro Jay!" They came forward to hug and chuckled with each other. The handsome 6ft guy was smiling watching them, while I was surprised at this sudden acquaintance. It seemed like my mom also knew them, 'cause she greeted them happily and blessed the 6 ft dude.

We sat at the living room. I took my pastry plate and sneakily tried to swift past my mom, but she caught me. She was incharge of my diet plans, so my incharge gave me a scolding look.  The 6ft dude chuckled and I COULD HEAR IT. I was so embarrassed in the morning. I put things in place, the plate and my embarrassment, and joined my parents and our sudden morning guest in the living room. My dad filled us in with details about how "David" is his friend from childhood and that they have grown up together back in their hometown, all the mischiefs and all. About how David had to leave his hometown with his parents at the age of 20 as his dad got some bigshot job at a metropolis city. They really seemed like they missed each other a lot. Later David started his own business (although what business we don't know) and it flourished for the better. And how dad came to the city for his job. They kept in contact and met few times but due to timing, regular meeting was not possible for them. David moved and they lost contact soon.

Now as the introductions settled, tea served, chattering still continued. My father and David continued reminiscing their childhood memories. I, on the other hand, sat there in my pajamas, smiling, and mildly staring at the 6ft suited guy. Maybe David picked me stealing glances at him, he said, "This, my dear, is my son Ravi. He is helping me running my business now."  Ravi greeted us parents hello with a light bow. My dad said," Well your son looks handsome. The genes must have passed on well" To which Ravi replied a thank you. David said, "Your daughter isn't any less Jay. Look at her, such a lady." I blushed and said," Thank you from this lady in pajamas." He chuckled. I looked at Ravi, he was smiling at me. If smiles could melt, I would already be dripping on the floor right now. As if his handsome face wasn't already enough, Ravi had such captivating smile.
