crazy mother of a friend

I was living in the small town and I never had lot of friends... I only had two close friends that studied in my class.
We were like three musketeers, we did everything together. None of us ever missed school, it sounds weird but we loved going to school. Everything was normal till one day. Me and my friend Kate were on our way to school, expecting Chloe to be there. We got to school but Chloe was nowhere to be seen, we thought that maybe she was late. After some classes Chloe still didn't come, (that was weird). After 2 days without Chloe, we (Kate and I) decided to visit her. We cycled to Chloes house, her window was wide open and when Kate looked inside, room was really messy. I knocked on the door, no one answered, I knocked again still no one but after third time Chloes mom, looking like psychopath answered she said that she was busy and closed the door in front of my nose.
— yeah... That was so rude!   Said Kate.
— I agree    I added.
After some time we decided to wait one more day and if Chloe still wouldn't show up we would come back.
One more day went by but there was no sign of Chloe. Kate and I decided to sneak in at Chloes cause we were scared of her mom after the day before. We climbed in Chloes room house was quite, but suddenly we heard footsteps and screams. We hid in the closet that was in front of the door to the living room. All of a sudden floor opened up and Chloes mom came up.
— wow, they have secret room down there.   Said Kate whispering.
— shh, can you hear screaming sounds? I think It coming from there...
After Chloes mom went into the kitchen, we slowly went down the secret room. AND WHAT WE SAW THERE WAS SHOCKING! There was Chloe all thin, wearing raggedy clothes and chained to the wall. When she saw us she got really happy and asked us to call the police asap. Good thing I always carry my phone with me. I called 911 and in few minutes police came. Chloe said that her mom did everything just because she felt really lonely and sad. Police took her mom and after hours of questioning they sent her to psychiatric hospital, they found out that something was wrong in her head and she needed help. Chloe stayed at Kates and now everything is ordinary.
