“So,” Sawyer states as if expecting something, which he was. We sit on top of a tall building, our bodies basked in moonlight. I had been already sitting on the edge of the building when he joins me, our legs dangling off the edge of the surface only inches away from each other.

He is the only person that knows me in both worlds; In Sunlight where I’m a soft spoken barista, and here were I am a savage werewolf type person. Some call me just call me a wolf hybrid but that would mean I would just transform into a feral wolf, which I don’t. I turn into fantasy’s depictions of a werewolf, an anthropomorphic beast. It’s fitting for this world, it being constantly shrouded in a full moon and all.

Sawyer looks almost completely the same here, just a bit sharper and more dangerous. He dresses in darker liked leather jackets and darker jeans. His hair is still flaming, and his eyes still hazel. I, on the other hand, have a few more noticeable changes, making it hard to pick me out in the other world if you recognized me here. My hair is pitch black and straight, cut so that it is longer in the front, cupping around my face before getting shorter in the back. I have round bangs that go across my forehead, ending just above my electric blue wolf eyes. My entire body structure is more muscular, but not really any smaller; Just as curvy as the other realm. I have black wolf ears sticking out of my head, fangs that poke slightly over my bottom lip, and a black wolf tail extending off my spine. I still have the same piercings though.

“So what?” I ask, ears swiveling to the direction of his voice as I adjust my black latex jumpsuit, centering the zipper that goes up the middle on my front, starting at my waist and ending at my chest. I pull at the collar so it is straight before lifting my legs so the foot holes of the one piece were on correctly, leaving my heel and toes open and wrapping latex around the top of my foot and the arch.

“You know what, Kota. That chick at the cafe last Sunlight. Sabrina, Sara, Sam, Samantha...” He continues to ramble off other names that start with ‘Sa’ before I correct him, gesturing to my work belt on the other side of him that had a sheath on it.

“Yeah, Sage, see I knew you knew who I was talking about,” His eyes flashed teasingly as he passed over the belt, the twin curved dagger handles shimmering momentarily as light hit it.

“What about her?” I asked, my cheeks flushing red slightly.

“You are usually cool and collected around strangers, even the cute ones, what’s different about this girl? Do you know her?”

“Uh,” I hesitate, trying to figure out what to say, “Yeah. I know her on this side. We are -er- friends.” I say, fixing my the belt around my hips diagonally.

You have “-er- friends” on this side?” He mocks my stutter and tone of voice, “By the sound of that it isn’t just friends, more like lady friend. Some might even call it a girlfriend.” He teases me, heat rising in my face.

“Shut up Sawyer, you’re such a jerk,” I snarl, standing up and stretching my stiff limbs.

“So this Sage chick is your girlfriend! Ha! My little ‘Kota has a girlfriend!” He basically chants, jumping to his feet and embracing me, swinging me around dramatically.

“Sawyer! Hush up and put me down! It’s not that big a deal, I’ve been in a relationship before!” I say, pushing myself away from him.

“I don’t understand why you are so excited anyway, you know how dangerous it is for me to know anyone and the danger only rises if it’s in both places.” I say flattening my ears and lashing my tail slowly, a minor snarl to my tone.

“You worry too much, I’m sure she’ll be fine,” He says with a nonchalant hand gesture, “But I still suggest you be careful where you meet her and I agree not to approach her during the day.”
