"cindy." i whisper to myself. i look over and ziggy and she smiles. "how'd you save both of us?" i ask nick. "i knew you would want me to save ziggy first. so i did CPR on her then you." he smiles. i cry and hug him. "thank you." i whisper into his shoulder. he nods and pulls away. a few momments later the ambulance gets here. they put me and ziggy on a stretcher. as they are about to pull me in nick comes up to me. "the curse. it's real." i whisper to him. "i believe you." he answers while holding my hand. i smile at him as they pull me into the van.
that's how it ended. a few weeks later me and nick started dating. we meet at the library everyday. a few years after that we got married. he became sheriff and i became an author. i write books about what happened to me and how i dealt with the trauma. we moved to sunnyvale and had 2 children. cindy and alice. ziggy lives a few houses down from us. she got a job as a news reporter. we see each other a lot. and that's my life. some trauma and shit but it's worth it.
but i think it's happening again.
