Bertoldt can sense immediately when you're feeling low. As soon as your eyes dim even the slightest, he's on you like Sasha on the meat supply.

He'll awkwardly keep his distance slightly though; he wants to ask you what's up, but at the same time, wants to give you your space and come to him in your own time.

In the meantime he'll do just the sweetest little things to try and uplift your mood. Little cupcakes left on your desk. A note on your bedside table for when you wake up and begin your day.

"Have a wonderful day, my beautiful. - Bert."

But after a few days and you hadn't yet spoken to him, it was time to bring out the big guns.

Coming up behind you, his long fingers firmly circle your shoulders, his face nuzzling into your neck - his hot breath like a welcomed embrace against your flesh.

"What's wrong, baby? You know you can talk to me..." He whispers lovingly into your ear.

He'll lay you on his large, warm chest as he listens, his heart thumping in your ear the most soothing and relaxing tune you could ever imagine.

His smell fills up your senses as he listens. Clean cotton would be the best way to describe it in this moment. Fresh from the wash and in from the line on a spring day.

He'll sit you up and wipe your tears with his thumb once you're done, his lips kissing softly where your teardrops had once been.

"I know it's tough, Nova. But I'm here. I'll always be here. We got our friends, too. You're always supported no matter what that little voice in your head might say otherwise."

His large arms wrap around you in an embrace, rocking you slightly. His long legs on either side of you, knees bent as if he was protectively caging you in and away from the world.

"Okay?" He smiles warmly, bumping his forehead off yours.

You nod. Life with Bertoldt Hoover is beyond amazing. He always takes such good care of you and his arms really are the safest place in the world.
