This story is set up following the Pokemon games Red, Blue, and Yellow. I don't own anything except for the plot changes as well as other changes. I made for my story and any Oc's that make an appearance in the story. As well with Red's final team which probably won't be canon.

Also, this idea has been stuck in my head and driving me crazy. So just went and published the first chapter so it would go away. Even though I still have other stories currently going on.

Anyway onto the story!

Today was a beautiful sunny day in a town called Pallet Town. A young male was lay in his bedroom excited about tomorrow because he was going to get to choose his own starter Pokemon. At the time he was currently 17 years old and the next day was his birthday June 17th.

Professor Oak had sent him a letter saying that he had to come to his laboratory and choose a starter. He is the leading Professor who studies Pokemon. He is pretty famous in the Kanto Region.

The young male was going to be a Pokemon trainer, anyone who is ten or above can get a starter Pokemon from their region's head Professor. He could have been a trainer already, but his parents wanted him to continue an education in school.

Always telling him he could become something else. There are many jobs to pick from, maybe a Professor? No, it was too boring for him. A Pokemon doctor? That was fun but too much work trying to treat lots of Pokemon. A journalist? Wasn't really his type of field.

He just wanted to be a Pokemon trainer, there was nothing like it. Not only was it his dream, but it was also his father's dream. He wanted to be a trainer himself before he switched his career to teaching only because his parents didn't agree with his dream. But he supported his son with every cell in his body.
