The immortal god blinked.

Her sword had stayed sheathed throughout the whole journey, but still, the courtyard had become a graveyard at some point in history. Corpses and blood were all that was in sight and she was tired.

A yawn escaped her mouth and her face was as straight as it could get while she was standing in what must have been a battlefield. But, the difference was that neither side won the battle, nor the war. They were all dead.

What had been her name? She didn't remember. She must have been asleep for a long time. But how long? Months? Centuries? It was a mystery, one that maybe one day she would figure out.

As the god attempted to take a step forward--ready to start her next journey--a sharp, excruciating pain stabbed her in the stomach, making her flinch. She looked down at her stomach and frowned. There was a sword stabbed into her stomach. All the blood that had been leaking out had dried, already.

She took a deep breath and exhaled, then she gripped the hilt of the sword and pulled it out in a fast motion. The once dry blood gushed out of the sword wound and stained her clothes a dark red, once again. Her vision blurred for a second before it cleared again, a headache taking over and pounding at her head.

The god tossed the sword to the side and made her way across the courtyard, entering the castle of a kingdom.

What had she done in the past for a whole kingdom to be taken down?

As she walked through the halls and corridors, lifeless bodies covered in their own blood, presumably, laid across the walls and floors of the castle. The stone bricks that made up the wall were cracked and some bricks were missing from their places. Vines and other plants and flowers and weeds had grown along the cracks of the walls, as well.

Finally, she reached the entrance door. The god pushed the doors open and a bright blue sky welcomed her along with a nice cool breeze of wind. A smile crept onto her face and the scent of blood and death was long gone. Instead, the scent of lavender and the fresh air filled her lungs and her smile widened.

How long had it been since the god was able to breathe? She took another long sniff of the fresh lavender-scented air and continued forward, following a stone brick path through the forest. Branches from the trees swayed and leaves fell from them to the ground, sometimes falling onto her hair.

Suddenly, a strong scent of blood appeared and made her freeze. She paused before she continued forward and followed the scent of blood. As the scent grew stronger, she continued forward until she found the source of the scent.

Smoke and ash filled the air and her eyes began to burn. A town, buildings burnt down, and craters filled debris. Blood and lifeless corpses from children to elderly laid across the town, the smoke still fresh.

"What happened here?"
