The "Chosen" Ones

Xingqiu's Reaction to Being "Chosen"

Next is Xingqiu. When Xingqiu got the text message notification, he was in his bed at home, in the middle of reading one of his books. When his phone rang, Xingqiu put a bookmark in his book, got out his phone, and replied to the text message that Eula sent him.

The text message said:

Congratulations Xingqiu!

You are a winner and one of the "Chosen" Ones! You are a "Chosen" One because I "chose" you to be a SPECIAL guest of my hotel—and will be invited to stay at it FOR FREE FOR TEN YEARS!!! You got lucky!

Xingqiu replied to the text message that Eula sent him. He said:

Xingqiu: Hi Eula! I was in the middle of reading one of my books when I got your notification! Can I continue reading my book?

Eula: Go ahead! You can continue reading your book if you want to!

Xingqiu: I was reading it at the comfort of my bed at home. I LOVE reading books in my bed because I think it is the BEST—and the MOST comfortable—place for me to read my books!

Eula: How come?

Xingqiu: In my bed, there are fluffy blankets to cuddle up in, a soft pillow behind my back, and a chibi plushie of Chongyun.

Eula: Well, if you think your bed at home is so comfy, then you would LOVE the beds in the hotel rooms at Shimmer-Inn Wave!

Xingqiu: But the hotel rooms DON'T have the same "FEEL" as my room at home!

Eula: Why not?

Xingqiu: My room has a warm fireplace and pictures of Chongyun on the walls! I think the hotel rooms at Shimmer-Inn Wave DON'T have a warm fireplace OR pictures of Chongyun on the walls!

Eula: Each hotel room at Shimmer-Inn Wave has a fireplace in the living room, and you can hang pictures of Chongyun on the walls! You can even bring your Chongyun plushie to Shimmer-Inn Wave!

Xingqiu: I'm HYPED for the beds! Now that you told me this, I think the beds in the hotel rooms at Shimmer-Inn Wave would be BETTER than my bed at home!

Eula: You don't HAVE to read your books in the hotel room—there's a LARGE variety of places in Shimmer-Inn Wave that you can read your books!

Xingqiu: Like where?

Eula: Other places to read your books include the pool, the spa, the smoothie bar at the gym, and the café. I think those places would be PERFECT for you to read your books!

Xingqiu: Does Shimmer-Inn Wave have a library, by any chance?

Eula: Unfortunately, it doesn't.

Xingqiu: Aww...

Eula: Don't worry, I'll MAKE sure that Shimmer-Inn Wave has a library!

Xingqiu: But HOW would you be able to do that?!

Eula: I will ADD a library! My friend Sweet Diva Kay can INSTANTLY make a library in Shimmer-Inn Wave—she will connect it to the café!

Xingqiu: Yay! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS NEW LIBRARY!!!

Eula: Then come to Shimmer-Inn Wave!

Xingqiu: Ok! Thanks!

Eula: You're welcome! See you at Shimmer-Inn Wave!

Xingqiu: You too!

Xingqiu turned off his phone, packed up his stuff, and continued to read his book.

After a few minutes of reading, as he was about to reach the next chapter in his book, Xingqiu forgot that he had to go to Shimmer-Inn Wave. Realizing this, Xingqiu put his book and Chongyun plushie in his suitcase, packed the clothes for his Chongyun plushie, put his boots and socks on, and rushed to Shimmer-Inn Wave—as fast as he could.
