The fire is crackling in the chimney and keeps the house from the cold outside. Winters are as icy as the summers are scorching. One must admit that the climate is more logical and stable here. The seasons are not really the same as on Earth, of course, but they are steady here on Sanctum. Life is calm and peaceful, their routine well established by now. Bellamy doesn't regret his choice made 3 years ago, especially in moments like this, when he can quietly reread one of his favorite books, holding the love of his life asleep on their sofa. He wouldn't trade his place for anything in the world, and the roundness he caresses on Clarke's belly keeps reminding him how lucky he is to have such happiness. Everything is more perfect than in his wildest dreams.
And yet, it' s also at moments like this that he misses his sister the most, that he wonders if she's making it, what she's doing, what her life is. His heart aches at the thought that she will never know the little life he has created with Clarke. She'll never be the great aunt he'd imagined her to be. But Octavia has made her choice too, a choice that is very much like her, but one that has not been easy. A choice that broke his heart, but that he had to learn to respect. He found his own happiness and all he ever wanted for his youngest daughter was for her to find hers, her own way...
3 years and a few days ago...
When they returned to the village that afternoon, the others weren't really surprised to see Sabrina or to learn that she was a witch and that she was responsible for their journey... After all they' d been through, nothing would surprise them anymore.
"You're kinda crazy, girl! I mean, we' re all tired of those two hanging around each other and never taking the plunge, but this one...you hit it pretty hard. Besides, they weren't even your friends!" Murphy threw at her, bewildered, but almost admiring.
"I have always known, always seen, always been convinced as I never was before, that these two were the perfect original missing part of each other. The one whose mark was etched in their flesh and soul. It was too unfair for them to waste their time and maybe their lives because of their own moods. It's probably silly you see, but I' d never known that and I confess I'm far too sensitive and romantic for a child of the devil, but I cherished what these two had, I placed all my hopes in them that one day, it could happen to me too even if I know that it's rare to find that one perfect person for us, the one who understands us without communicating, who sees us without hearing us ... Then I met Nick and my whole world lit up, as if everything was suddenly so easy, so beautiful. The soul is made to love like a bird to fly. It wasn't love at first sight for us, but it didn't take us long to realize that we belonged together. I forgot about Clarke and Bellamy for a while, but when I saw them again,It broke my heart that they still hadn't revealed themselves, that they were wasting their lives like this. I wanted them to know what I was going through too. And maybe even more so I have to admit that their souls complement each other so perfectly that I don't think Nick and I can compete... And then one thing led to another... I had a (probably bad) idea and everything went wrong. And here we are today! I am aware that you have been through some awful things, I was there with you all the time in full discretion. I trusted fate and was looking for a solution on my side... I'm sorry I risked your lives, but I won't apologize, because in the end, these two finally opened their hearts and I think it was worth it... And then, you lived through some really incredible things that you''ll probably never live again! You guys did really well and showed your best selves!"
"I have to admit, it wasn't so bad if you forget about the monsters and the lack of sleep! Some sides were even downright cool and funky! And some of the people we met were much nicer than others..." Murphy cut her off with a little smirk.
"I think I know who you mean... You've had a good time indeed..." Murphy immediately lost his smile as he realized that Sabrina may have witnessed his frolicking with Carla. And he honestly didn't know if it bothered him or thrilled him...
