~Time Skip~
One Year Later-
Izuku Midoriya's POV-
It has been a year since I began to live with my dad. It took me a while to get used to the change in rule here. I didn't have to make breakfast for him if I didn't want to, I could make noise and speak even if I wasn't spoken to, dad didn't hit me for everything I did, (he did tell me when I did something I wasn't supposed to though but he didn't yell at me and beat me up!) he even took me out shopping place and I could get stuff for myself! It took me a really long time to accept the fact that this was how it should normally be, that I was in a normal household and able to be a normal kid.
"Izu come!" Dad calls
I make my way down the stairs and into his office where he sits at his desk fidgeting. I wonder what the problem is?
"What happened?" I ask
I've gotten much more comfortable with being with dad. I can talk to him freely now! And I have a new obsession with giving him hugs. Maybe I'm just severely touch starved.
"Um so I know it makes you uncomfortable when people call you Midoriya but I thought and sometimes because it was your legal name there gonna have to call you that sometimes and so I decided to maybe I don't know... change it?"
I was silent for a while before looking down at the document that he had pushed over to me.
Izuku Aizawa
I teared up just looking at the name.
"Izu?!? Izu I can change it back if that's what you want! I'm sorry for not asking first! Izu?" Dad began to panic at seeing the tears in my eyes.
"No.. it's.. it's perfect! Thank you so much!"
Dad let out a sigh of relief and then pulled me into a hug. It made me happy so I just stayed there for a while. That night I cuddled with dad as we fell asleep happy.
A/N-
So sorry for the short chapter but I kinda just wanted to finish. And so we're finished with the first arc!!!
Don't worry the next will, and I promise, be the chatfic part of the story and Izuku will gain some friends!
