Music is a virus. It infects the soul. I've noticed that when you listen to music, you must listen to it again, or you feel harmed. Ever heard of the phrase, "Music is my drug?" Because that can apply to music of our generation.

However, music isn't all negative; it helps you feel in place. I've noticed that if I feel blue, or out of place, I simply need to listen to music, and the whole world comes back into perspective. Music is a great source of nourishment for the mind and soul, since it replenishes your emotions. I'm listening to music while writing this, and I seem to focus more as I listen.

Earlier today, I was listening to a conversation that seemed to overwhelm me. I simply whipped out my i-pod and earphones and began to listen to the radio. It helped me focus on my goal. Also, I did not agree with everything being said, though I did not understand how to make everyone else understand. So, I put in both earphones, tuned out of the rest of the conversation, and focused on the words. I feel that whenever you feel really pressured, if you focus on the words of a song, you seem to forget your worries and begin to understand your goals better.

Over all, I believe that music is a great thing but has its own side effects, like all good things. And you always pay for good things in life, since nothing is free.
