"It has to do with why you were acting a bit different and crying right? Why is Jessica worried about losing you? Am I going to lose you? I couldn't live with that. Are you sick? Please don't tell me you're sick..."

"Calm down baby. You'll never lose me. I'm yours forever. I'm... I'm leaving... Moving.... To Europe... For a year or two..." I could see the shock and hurt in her face and it killed me. "as for the sick thing, I haven't told anyone but I'm getting a brain scan this Sunday. Along with a bunch of other scans. I don't know how sick I am or if I'm sick at all but I need to make sure. Doctor said it might just be migraines."

She was speechless and she was crying by now.

"I'm sorry baby. I never wanted any of this to happen. And the last thing I wanted was to hurt you."

"I'm *sniffle* coming with *sniffle* you sun *sniffle* day."

"Okay. But please don't cry. I can't stand to see you like this. Or to know it's because of me. Let's just enjoy the time we have okay?" she nodded.

We fell asleep at some point, with her crying in my arms. When I woke up the sun had set. Lizzie was still sleeping and I didn't want to disturb her so I got up and order us some food. I made another call and went to the fridge and got myself some milk and Lizzie a water bottle.

"Wake up baby." she shuffled a bit but didn't wake up. I shook her head lightly and she groaned.

"Wake up." she opened her eyes slightly and smiled, then she frowned.

"Is something wrong babe?"

"You're leaving.... Please don't"

"Never. I'm not going with them okay?" she nodded and I handed her the water bottle. She had a few sips and put it on the night stand. The doorbell rang and I went to get the food.

.......................

We finished eating and decided to play some card games.

"So what did you mean when you said you weren't going? Isn't your whole family moving?"

"Can we talk about it later? I'm still trying to figure some things out."

"Yeah, sure I guess" just then my phone rang. Lizzie gave me a questioning look.

"Becky. I gotta take it. Give me a minute." she just nodded and I walked into the other room.

"Yeah? Any updates?"

"Nothing good. I don't think we could make it happen. Not in the short time we have." I ran my hand through my hair, stressed out by the situation.

"Well what about the second option?"

"Doubtful. Too much legal shit. Also needs a lot of time. And we don't have that."

"Fuck. Well, alright. If you find something tell me."

"Always do." and the line went dead.

I walked back into my room to find Lizzie on her phone, smiling at something adorably. She had headphones on and probably didn't hear me come in. I snuck up behind her and hugged her, kissing her cheek. She jumped a bit but smiled at me.

"That was fast. You and Becky usually talk for hours."

"Yeah. She just wanted to invite us over for dinner tomorrow night. You in?"

"Yeah. That sounds good." I kissed her again and we continued our game.

............

It's been a week and by now we've packed half of our things. There are suitcases and boxes everywhere. Lizzie hasn't come over since we started packing because I don't want her to get any sadder. I was taking my posters down when my phone rang.

"Yeah"

"We might have a solution. But your aunt has to agree. And sign some papers. Legal stuff. I managed to get them so all we gotta do is talk to her."

"Perfect. Thanks dude. I owe you."

"How's tomorrow?"

"Great. 5?"

"I was thinking 4? I have a meeting at 5:30"

"Alright. See you then." And I hung up.

.............

I slowly and carefully got out of bed, not wanting to wake Lizzie up. I wrote a note saying that I would be back in time for school and put my track suit on. I ran for an hour and a half before going back to Lizzie's. She was still asleep so I threw the note away and grabbed my clothes. I showered and got dressed and went to Lizzie's room to find her awake and sleepily sitting on the edge of her bed.

"Get ready for school or we're going to be late." She nodded slowly and got up. She went to the bathroom and I slowly shook my head at her. I picked out something for her to wear and got her towel and went to the bathroom. I knocked on the door.

"Babe. Your stuff." She was standing in her underwear when the door opened and I couldn't help but stare at her. Her perfect, curvy figure. She is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure I started drooling. She shook her head and closed the door in my face. I dumbly walked back to the room.

As we were eating breakfast, she said she wanted to drive us to school today. I agreed. We got into my car and she started driving towards the clearing.

"Babe. Why aren't we going to school?"

"Don't worry we're just going to be late. We need to talk." Oh fuck. That's not good at all.

......................

We ended up spending the whole day at the clearing. She asked about the test results and I told her that nothing was wrong, just migraines (I lied). She also asked about the moving thing. I told her that I don't know anything yet, which is mostly true. I didn't want to hurt her anymore.

"Hey Liz, we have to go. I have to be somewhere at 4"

"Okay.... Where?"

"I have an appointment I guess. Let's go to your house and I'll drive myself okay?"

"Sure"

......................

"Okay so both of you understand correct?" me and Becky both nodded. We signed the paperwork and handed it back to him.

"Now all we have to do is wait for your parents to come back and get them to sign them."

"Can I go now? I have a date tonight." He nodded and I left.
