Chapter 19

Rose woke up in Ace's bed. She sat up and looked around. He wasn't there ''Ace'' she said in a loud voice

''Yeah'' he replied, coming from the bathroom

''Nevermind'' she said, getting up from the bed finding the clothes she deliberately left behind after leaving

Ace walked out of the bathroom, with a towel wrapped around his waist

''So um...Ace'' Rose started while looking at his toned chest

''Hm?'' he replied while getting dressed with a toothpick dangling from his mouth

''Are we like, official'' she looked over at him

''We poured our hearts and souls out about each other last night, didn't we'' he replied, putting on his black shirt

''Yeah, we did'' Rose smiled to herself as she zipped up her shorts

''So there's your answer'' he looked at Rose ''What did you do to your arm'' he asked her

Rose looked at her arm then back at him ''I got it from those girls...If you know what happened''

''Did they cut you'' he asked, glaring at her arm

Rose covered her arm ''I don't know. It was all a blur'' she lied

Ace didn't reply. Minutes felt like hours ''Hurry up we gotta go'' he finally spoke as he sat on the bed impatiently waiting for her

Rose smiled. Just like old times.

''We're going the wrong way to Eyeballs'' Rose told him

Ace stopped the car, his hand gesturing to Connie's house ''Get your stuff''

Rose looked at him in shock ''I thought you'd-''

''Well you thought wrong, sweetheart'' Ace interrupted ''We ain't letting anyone get in between us again. Get your stuff, so we can put it back where it belongs''

''Thanks, babe'' Rose kissed him, putting her hands on his cheeks. Ace kissed back as he placed a hand on her butt before lightly tapping it before pulling away

''Go get it. I'll be waiting right here'' he said while playing with her hair

''You'll be bored waiting for me. Pick up Eyeball then come back, it'll give you something to do'' she told him as she got out of the car

Ace shrugged and watched her knock and politely walk into the catholic's house. He dropped his cigarette on the curb and drove off for Eyeball

''Hey girl, what's up'' Eyeball smirked

Rose playfully rolled her eyes ''Help me put these in the back please''

Eyeball got out of the car, taking Rose's bags and suitcase one by one ''You sure have a lot of shit'' he commented

''It's not shit'' she pouted while handing him another bag

''Heard you guys go back out'' he whispered

Rose smiled and nodded ''Yup. Thanks to you''

''Well, I am cupid'' Eyeball and Rose chuckled

''C'mon you two hurry up'' Ace said at the front

''Coming'' Rose replied ''Hey'' she took Eyeballs hand, looking at the top of his arm, where a big blue bruise was formed ''What did you do'' she asked worriedly

Eyeball smiled nervously and shook her off ''It's uh...It's nothing'' he chuckled ''C'mon'' he opened the car door for her

Rose frowned and got inside. He couldn't fool her. Everyone knew that his dad was a drunk. It scared Rose thinking about what he does to her best friend and his brother behind closed doors
