Chapter 49

Timeskip: 1 Year Later
Yamaguchi's Pov:

I walked inside from the store and saw that Toshiko was home already. I put the grocery bags down and my eyes widened. Kei and Toshiko were arguing. They didn't even notice me come in. They've been arguing a lot recently. I sighed and walked passed them, holding the heavy groceries all by myself. 

They argued about nothing. I do realize that Toshiko got some of her traits from Kei, so that technically means Kei was arguing with himself. That makes me giggle sometimes, but I hated watching them argue.  But today it just got on my nerves. 

I started cooking. Neither of them looked at me since I got home. It was always about the same things, "coming back after curfew, respect, ignoring." It was getting repetitive. 

"OI!" I said glaring at both of them. 

"IF YOU'RE DAD SAYS BE HOME BY 10 THEN YOU BETTER BE YOUR ASS HOME BY 10 O'CLOCK! AND IF YOU KEEP IGNORING YOUR DAUGHTER IT'S ONLY GOING TO MAKE HER MORE UPSET! NOW BOTH OF YOU SHUT THE HELL UP AND EAT!"

I put their plates on the stove and went to our bedroom. I saw clothes still on our bed I asked Kei to put up and I sighed. I started fold them and put them in their appropriate spots. Kei came into the bedroom and I glared at him. 

"Tadashi-" 

"Couch." 

"What?" 

"You're sleeping on the couch." 

"Tadashi, don't. I know this whole week has just been filled with me and Toshiko arguing, and I'm sorry baby." 

"Don't say I'm sorry now. You didn't even notice me come home today. I'm not changing my mind Kei." 

"If you want me to sleep on the couch I will, just know that I'm sorry okay?" 

"Mhm." 

He kissed my cheek and I ignored him. I finished putting up the clothes and laid down. I fell asleep. I woke up to Toshiko shaking me. 

"H-hm what?" 

"Good morning mama. Me and daddy made breakfast for you." 

"Breakfast?"

"Yep. You get breakfast in bed."

Kei walked in and put a plate on my lap. Blueberry pancakes, sausages, and scrambled eggs. My stomach growled as Toshiko poured orange juice in a cup beside me.

"Ahh thank you guys." I started eating and Toshiko went out the room. Kei sat down beside my feet.

"I already apologized to Toshiko, but it's my fault we'd had been arguing so much."

"Well I'm sure it's not all your fault."

"Well I picked her up one day. And I saw that she was kissing her girlfriend. I kind of freaked out, I mean she's growing up fast and I couldn't handle it."

"Really? And you didn't tell me!"

"I know, I know I'm truly sorry Tadashi."

"Aww it's okay. I can understand that. But you really can't ignore her Kei. The arguing is gonna get worse if you do."

"I know. I know. Now enjoy your breakfast Tadashi."
