adventures with the bad batch

part eighteen (between ep9 and ep10)

we are making our way back to Sids to lay low, we are taking a long route to take a break, we are all asleep, well I was still attempting to but I still couldn't, I felt like death, I was so tempted to go over to hunters bunk and lay with him but, I just wanted to let him rest, I suddenly heard a scream, I got up quickly, but hunter also got up as well, and we both ran over to omega, she was panting heavily,

"omega are you okay" hunter said climbing up the stairs and sitting next to her while I stood on the stairs

"yeah I-im fine" she panted

"its okay" I said

"just a nightmare" she said "sorry I didn't mean to wake you"

"its okay, you can wake me whenever" hunter told her "go back to sleep" he said,

"wait can you stay?" she asked

"of course, I will stay Ella you can go back to sleep" he told me putting his arm around her

"I- im not tired I think I will take watch in the cockpit" I told him

"you look exhausted"

"I-im not" I stuttered "goodnight omega, sweet dreams" I said smiling at her, I went to the cockpit to lookout, my body ached as it didn't let me sleep, I wanted to fall asleep so badly but I couldn't, tears pricked my eyes as my mind fought my body. I wanted to yell, scream, but I didn't.

tech woke up and he came over and sat in the other pilot seat,

"is omega okay?" he asked

"yeah just a nightmare" I said as he looked over at me

"wait are you okay, you are very pale"

"yeah I-im fine" as I struggled to even speak,

everyone started to wake up and we all went into the main room, I saw tech and hunter walk into the cockpit and omega was doing something with wrecker and echo,

"Ella come in here" Hunter ordered, he had never used that tone with me before, I almost felt that I was in trouble,

"what is it" I stumbled in

"see" tech said as hunter walked up to me

"you are so pale" hunter said "are you okay" I hated everyone asking me that

"yes why does everyone keep asking me that, I'm fine, im a little pale, but I'm fine" I said as tears pricked up in my eyes

"tech can you Give us a minute" hunter said

"sure, also we will be arriving soon" tech said

"whats wrong" hunter said wiping a few tears away that escaped

"nothing im fine" I said firmly

"no you are not, tell me" he said even louder, but I just stared at him with a quivering lip trying not to break down in front of him

"I am fine Hunter" but he still didn't believe me

"No you aren't" he nearly yelled "you are pale, you have bags under yours eyes, don't lie to me" he said firmly, but that's when it happened I broke,

"I am so sorry" as cried as tears streamed from my eyes, I fell to the ground, and hunter slowed my fall keeping his hands on my shoulder "I can't sleep, I feel like death," I cried and he hugged me tight

"why didn't you just come in with me" he said quietly

"because I would just keep moving around and I would want to wake you up" I sniffled I got up on my feet "I'm fine though just tired is all" I said kind of embarrassed that I completely broke down, and im sure that everyone heard.
