Soon, the brothers found themselves in their own tasks with Taemin rushing towards his room, hiding his precious gift and the boys going to check on the warehouses and James.
After finishing their works, they gathered at the dinner table and munched on while they spoke of the interesting parts of the day—Taemin's new friends, Hoseok's new self in the mission and ignoring Taemin when he curiously asked about their mission—he would literally kiss the mission if it were a human as he got a chance to go to school.
Thereafter, the four boys reluctantly dragged their feet into their rooms an hour early because of the youngest's order so that they can be early to school for participating in the decoration.
Most of them soon fell asleep after going to their rooms. Taemin, who was still looking at his gift nervously, was thinking if Jungkook would be happy with his gift.
He decided to keep the negative thoughts at bay and left his room to check on if his brothers are really asleep or running a secretive meeting under his nose.
After checking on Jimin, Hoseok and Yoongi—for a minute more, he made his way towards Taehyung's room and opened the door only to find it empty.
And without a second thought, he dragged his feet towards the garden all around the mansion in search of the similar silhouette.
By now, he knew each of his brothers mood swings like the back of his hand and so he knows that the absence of Taehyung in his room was because he was feeling low.
While he was strolling around, he found the him in the familiar bench in front of the purple hyacinths—which represents sorrow and regret. He walked towards him slowly, sat beside him and waited for him to speak.
They sat in silence for a good ten minutes before Taehyung turned his head towards the boy asking, "Hey Min, can't sleep? Got any problem?"
"I think I must be the one to ask that question," he said as he raised a brow at him.
"Hey, don't you eyebrow me like that, it's nothing," he spoke, trying to be as reassuring as he can but Taemin was concentrated on the little twitch in his smile.
He took a deep breath in and questioned, "It's Hoseok hyung, isn't it?"
Silence. He was met with silence. He knew about how much Taehyung loved the elder from when they were young. But unfortunately, he did not get to say it early and now Hoseok changed. He was not the same since four years and Taehyung felt that he had more possible chances to be accepted four years ago, with the bright and everything-is-always-positive Hoseok.
He used to be sunshine and rainbow, but dead serious in his missions before. Now, he was not the same. He became the opposite of what he was to be specific. He erased his brighter side and leaned into darkness. The Hobi he was now using as his undercover face was him four years back. And he became distant.
"He'll understand you hyung, just continue to show him your love. I'm sure he would get some kind of realization into his thick skull," he said earning a nod and a smile from him.
"Yeah, I can wait," he said and looked at the younger.
"How's it going with you?" he asked.
"I wish he loves me as much as he loves his pillow, hyung," he said with a scoff.
