The skies were cloudy and dark today. Luz was sitting on the floor, filming King as he struggled with a ducky sock. "And here we have the most fearsome creature in the world, the King of Demons, facing his natural enemy; the ducky sock." King ripped the poor sock to sherds. "Where are you now, ducky sock!" This made me smile as I sat on the sofa with a book on my lap. "So? Why'd you call me here again?" Luz asked him. "Oh, yeah." King climbed onto a table with a makeshift board. "Human Luz! You've been so obsessed with witchcraft, that you haven't learned anything about my kind. Prepare yourself for...Demons 101." King yelled excitedly as he pulled of the cloth covering the board. The board contained pictures and drawings of different demons. "Demons like me, are grim tricksters of the twilight. Creatures of sulfur and bone." King started explaining. "And cute little paws." Luz said, smiling, I snorted a little. King gave us both a blank look. "And cute little paws, true. We live only to create chaos and misery. Our only weakness are purified water and passive aggressive comments sometimes." "Oh, you guys are sensitive." King looked serious. "Even demons have inner demons." He said. He ripped something of a wall. "The most powerful demon of all, is the Snaggleback." I gave the picture a look while trying to contain my laughter. I don't think he has ever seen a Snaggleback or he wouldn't be saying this. Luz was busy on her phone and that seemed to annoy King a little. "Luz! Pay attention! This information could save your life someday." "No, no, I am so paying attention." She said, not really paying attention.

Thunder roared and lightning flashed. "Uh oh, looks like it's going to rain." King said, I nodded. Luz gasped. "I love rain." Luz got up and ran to the door. "Luz, wait!" I tried to stop her but she was already outside.  "I always love feeling the first few drops in my hair." She said, wandering outside. "Luz, come back inside." I told her but she shrugged me off. "It's just rain." A single rain drop landed on a flower, boiling it to death. "What?!" Luz said, shocked. "Get inside!"

Eda ran out from the forest. "BOILING RAIN! Everybody inside now!" She yelled, grabbing Luz and dragging her inside, crashing into King's lesson board while I closed the door. "Phew, that was close." Eda said. "The important thing is, you didn't get hurt." "Um Eda?" I said, pointing at Luz, who laid sprawled out on the floor. "Yup, not hurt." Luz answer as a mug fell on her head. I winced and pulled Luz to her feet. "Here." I said, my hand glowing a soft blue green color and placing it on her head. Luz's eyes went wide as the pain disappeared. "Wow! Thanks, Kaia." I nodded. "You're welcome, Luz." I turned my head towards Eda. "Come on, Eda. Let's go."

Later Eda and I stood under protective shields as we prepared a spell to shield the house from the rains. King and Luz sat near Hooty, as King put a bandage on Luz's arm before putting one on himself. "Look, now we're booboo buddies." He said. Luz cooed at him, falling over. "Oh my gosh, I love you so much." She sat up. "A boiling rainstorm on the boiling Isles? The weather here is so fun." I laughed at that. "Luz, we don't have normal weather here." Eda nodded. "Yeah, we have plagues. Gorenados, Shale Hails, Painbows." Eda finished. "It's like a rainbow but looking at it, turns you inside out." King explained. "Until the boiling rains stop, you aren't allowed outside tonight, that includes you too, King." I said. "And if the rain doesn't get you, the Snaggleback will. They wander the rains, feeding on boiled tourist." Eda rolled her eyes. "Well, whatever the case, this forcefield will protect the house from boiling rains and made up demons."  "Hoot! Well, hurry it up!. That rain is getting closer to me." Eda gave Hooty a blank look. "Yeah, yeah. Kaia, you ready?" I nodded.

Eda and combined our forcefield spells together, covering the entire house and my gardens in a protective bubble. Luz stared on in awe. "Wow! One day I'd like to be cool as Eda, the Owl lady; magical, sassy, surprisingly foxy for her age or like Lykaia, Lady Butterfly; graceful, elegant, clever and of course magical." Luz gushed. "Hey, why do call you the Owl Lady?" Eda smirked. "Cause I'm so wise." She said confidently. "Cause she coughs up rat bones." Hooty said. "I think it's because she gets distracted by shiny objects." King said, giving Eda a look. "No, I don't." Eda protested. "Yes, Eda, you do." I informed my friend, but I knew the real reason she was called the Owl Lady. King pulled out a pen with a sparkly bobble at the top of it. Eda's eyes got wide. "It sparkles, it shimmers, it shines and delights. I must have it for my nest." Eda tried to grab the pen, but King was faster and moved it out of her way, causing her to crash on to the floor. Luz looked at me. "And why do they call you Lady Butterfly, Kaia?" I chuckled and waved Monarch a bit; magic covered in dark blue and emerald butterflies appeared around us. Luz's eyes went wide with joy "My magic has always appeared with a flock of butterflies and my staff is a butterfly named Monarch. Eventually people just started calling me Lady Butterfly." "Oh."
