Aiden
I walk with Elijah down the stairs. He has become my good friend, and he leads it all with me. My father trusts him a lot, and it was always him with me since we were small kids. His father knows mine, and there have always been great buddy's.
"I have some things to do, I'll see you later Elijah," I say to him and turn away,
"Yes, see you later." I hear him walk away.
I get to my office door, and I walk in. I sit down at my desk and take out some papers. My head shoots up as a sound comes from the closet. I stand up and slowly walk over to it. I lean in and listen. Breathing. I take my gun from my belt and load it. Someone breathes hitches. I place my hand on the door handle. I open it fast and point my gun straight forward. I look the person in the eyes and sigh. Lamia.
I pull her out of it, and place her against the wall.
"What are you doing in my office, and in my closet?"
She says nothing.
"Answer me Lamia!" I say hard.
She flinches and I immediately feel regret. I hate making her scared. I hate everything I'm doing to her. But it's too dangerous for outside with him around. She looks me in the eyes and tells me that it's none of my business.
"It is my business when you're in my office, Lamia. So you tell me why you are here."
"I was looking for the bathroom."
"Lamia, your room has a bathroom."
I let her go and she stood still. "Go." I pointed at the door. She looked at me for a moment, before hurrying out. I push my chair out of the way, and lean onto my desk. I looked out the windows and sighed. I haven't been away from this place I'm weeks, and it's killing me. I always knew I had to do this at some point, but all I ever wished for was a normal life.

I swallow the water, and look up at Lamia. She hasn't touched her food. We are alone in the eating hall. Completely alone. But none of us has said a word. I study her. Her light brown hair falls down her back, and she's dressed in a black dress. I got her closet filled up with everything she'd ever need. She looks down at the knife in front of her. In a matter of seconds, she takes the knife and stabs it through her steak. She stands up and looks down at me.
"I want answers."
I walk down towards her. When I reach her, I push her down in her seat. I lean down and say, "Fine." She looks surprised. "But. You will only get two questions." I turn around to let her think, and I walk back to my seat. She thinks for a minute and looks back up at me.
"What have you been doing this whole year?"
"Not any stuff you want to know, Lamia. You wouldn't like it."
"Is it illegal?"
I look up from my plate and right into her eyes. "Yes." She looks at me with shock. I told her, but not what. She could and should know at some point. A lot of people do, and they know if they do something to anyone. They won't be here anymore.
"One more question."
She looks at me and knows what to ask immediately. "Why did you leave me? Why didn't you at least text me?"
"It was for the best." No. It wasn't.
"That's not a good enough answer!" She says and stands up again.
"But it was, Lamia. Or else you could've been dead." Truth.
She doesn't say anymore, but sits down. I told her the truth. She would've been used against me. She would've been killed. "Goodnight Lamia." I say and begin walking out of the hall. "You know your way back." I close the door behind me, and sign. I need a way to fix this for her.
****
I sat down at my desk. It was night. I opened my computer and searched for Lamia. I came across the news. She was reported missing. She was all over the internet. Every news channel. Every news page. She was everywhere.

I called one of my best men in and sat him down. "We need to lead the police and everyone in the wrong direction. They can't find her at all costs." He nodded and went out to do his job.
This isn't because I want to keep her here for me. It's for her safety. If he finds out where she is. He will come for her. And that would be the last thing I want. I know what he can do, I've seen it for my eyes. He doesn't care about anything or anyone.
I breathe out, and look down at my hands. They are shaking. I'm not nervous or scared. I lean my arms on my knees and focus down on the floor. My whole body began shaking. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths. I began having really bad anxiety when my mother died. It's not a good thing to have in my place, but it doesn't seem to get better. No one knows because I have become better at controlling it.
I calm myself down, and walk over to the door. I open it and almost walk right into someone. I look down. Lamia.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I really like writing this. I love that you get closer and closer to understanding Aiden. Mor of him will come in the future.
