Mum shook Mariah and shouted
"Morning birthday girl!!"
Mariah opened her eyes jumped out of bed and asked
"When can I have my present?!"
"Well someone's excited! After school."
"Okay.." Mariah replied with an anxious tone.
Mum walked downstairs 'my baby's all grown up she thought 13 today' she thought
"Mariah!, breakfast is ready!" Shouted mum from the kitchen
"Coming!" Mariah shouted back
"Ugh I wish I didn't have to go to school today it's so boring and it's my birthday!".She got ready and ran down stairs to eat her breakfast.
"What's for breakfast" she asked
"Your favourite! Birthday waffles with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream" mum replied
"Thanks mum!!"
She ate her waffles and started walking to school. On the way there she bumped into her friend Sofia. Sofia had long wavy brunette hair, vibrant blue eyes and she was very tall
"Oh hey Sofia!"
"Hey birthday girl I got you a present!"
"Oooh what is it" asked Mariah
"It's a recipe book for loosing weight!! I thought you'd like it I mean you have gained some weight over the holidays" Sofia replied
"Yeah uhm... thanks I guess."
"Yw!"
Mariah walked off almost crying 'why would she give me this have I really gained weight?' She thought
That day at school Mariah kept her distance from everyone at school and when she got home she went straight to her room.......
