A/N: Another super short drabble! This one’s about dancing and cleaning and all that fluffy stuff. Enjoy!

Spring was finally here. That meant that it was time to do some well needed spring cleaning. The floors were dirty, the furniture needed some dusting, the windows needed cleaning and the sheets needed washing.

I grabbed a broom and started cleaning the floors when my boyfriend, Dan, walked into the living room.

“What’re you doing, Phil?” he asked me.

“Oh, you know, just some spring cleaning. Care to join me?” I offered him my broom.

“Sure, why not?” Dan answered, grabbing the broom from my hand.

I put my phone on the speaker dock and pressed shuffle on my favourite playlist. Knights of Cydonia by Muse started playing, as if it was fate.

I half-jogged to get a feather duster and started dusting furniture.

Dan’s head shot up right when he heard the song. He then started using his broom as a fake guitar and fake playing the song.

I laughed, and started using my feather duster as a drumstick. We both sang the song completely word for word, dancing around. Dan looked so happy. I was, too.

The sun was shining through the unwashed windows, lighting up the newfound dancefloor of a living room.

When the guitar solo came on, Dan jumped to the middle of the living room and onto his knees, playing fake guitar on his broom hilariously and passionately.

When Knights of Cydonia ended, Uma Thurman by Fall Out boy came on. It was Dan’s favourite Fall Out Boy song. He sang every word loudly and did the guitar. I danced around, dusting here and there.

Suddenly, Dan dropped the broom and grabbed my arm, leading me to dance with him. He twirled me around, and we moved to the beat of the song.

I let go of my feather duster and grabbed him with both of my arms, pulling him into a deep kiss. It was wonderful.

When Uma Thurman ended, Nine In The Afternoon by Panic! At The Disco came on.

I pulled out of the kiss, and sang the song with him. Our bodies rocked left and right, pressed together in a loose embrace.

Dan rested his head on my shoulder, still whispering the lyrics to the beloved song.

Nine In The Afternoon ended, and Teenagers by My Chemical Romance came on. We pulled apart, wanting to dance freely to this one. Dan grabbed the broom and mimicked playing the guitar again.

I sang the lyrics loudly, moving to the beat of the song, really getting into it.

Mine and Dan’s hair were a mess. But it didn’t matter. We were having so much fun.

I heard Dan laughing.

“What’re you laughing at?” I said jokingly.

“Oh, nothing, babe. I’m just having fun.” He answered lovingly, pulling me into a tight embrace and pressing his head onto my chest, even if he was taller than me.

Just then, Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran came on. We rocked slowly to our favourite slow song. The song we would slow dance to.

“I love you, Dan” I whispered into my boyfriend’s ear.

“I love you too” I heard Dan whisper back. “So much.”

We pulled out slightly, and I twirled him this time. He put his hand on my waist and mine on his shoulders. We waltzed lightly. I gently pressed my lips to his.

Place your head on my beating heart

Thinking out loud

We found love right where we are…

When the beloved song ended, another came on, and then another. We kept dancing and barely cleaning for another hour or so more.

Dan and I plopped down onto our couch together, exhausted from all that dancing and singing. He ran is and through my hair, whispering sweet nothings in my ear.

I leaned onto him, sighing in contempt. Everything was perfect. I started kissing Dan’s neck. He let out a slight moan.

We both wanted to go further, but we were so tired that we just fell asleep then and there. We woke up the next day at 5 am, confused and hungry, but happy to be together.

Though I was disappointed that we still hadn’t washed those goddamn windows.
