Tour of the Territory

"Hello, I'm Shatteredstar, the deputy of StormClan. I, like Shatteredstar, survived the rockfall that destroyed my clan. Times were tough then but at least things have got better. We are regrowing the clan and we know that things can only get better from here."

"But enough chit chat, let's get on with your tour. First, I'm going to show you the training zone."

"Yes, yes this is the training place. It doesn't look suitable but it works well enough. The bed of leaves makes it harder to injure yourself. It might be small but that is why we don't have too many cats training here at one time."

"We like to teach our apprentices to climb and swim as advantage just in case of an attack. Here is where we teach them to climb. This place is called the climbing trees. Since the wood is soft but the trees are tall, it means the apprentices have an easy time learning to climb but the resilience they have to bear just to make it to the top is what keeps them strong."

"These are the black rocks. Come into the water and stand on them. Seriously, it's just water! I don't get why some many cats dislike water, there's nothing wrong with it. There you go. See it's really nice. The sun warms these rocks and I don't know how but the manage to keep the warmth all through the night. And even in leafbare, with the weakest sun, it still manages to warm these rocks and the water."

"However much I'd like to, we can't stay here all day. Let's keep going, I still need to show you the other side of our territory. To the log crossing!"

"This tree has been here for I could guess one hundred moons at least. It's been worn down so that now it's flat and easy to cross. It doesn't really get slippy because the river doesn't run that fast. Let's go across."

"There we go. This is the swimming pool. This pool is comes of the river and is deep enough to teach new apprentices how to swim. We get them to dip under and grab some moss or whatever is put in the pool. This helps there confidence in swimming."

"Now, onto the vole holes. Shush. We don't want to scare them all away. If you put your ear to the ground, you can here them scratching away. There a a tone of vole holes here and so this is one of our main hunting places."

"Oh my starclan, look at the sun, it's almost sundown. Let's get along back to camp. You can have some fresh kill. Yes. Of course you can have some. There is always enough to go around. Then you can sleep in the warriors den for tonight and make your decision if you'd like to join StormClan or not."
