Before the storm

" okay game plan we have nine days to prepare for this attack, I want everyone trained and ready to go" tony says as everyone is gathered into the training compound "and I want to see what you can really do in order to get a batter idea of this stones power" he says looking down at you as you give him a smile in return " alright avengers let do this". You walk up to the podium in the centre of the room as the group crowned around you, quill stands in front of you " now lets she what she can really do, I want everyone to throw everything they have at her no going easy now she thought" he says as you give smirk and gesture Steve " your first super soldier" you say as he steps forward "I'll go easy on you" he says throwing his shield your way. You close your eyes and hold out your hand as you hear the room go silent, you slowly open your eyes to see yourself holding the shield in your hand. You turn your attention to Steve and throw the shield back at him "what else you got cap" you say with a smile on your face.

After what seemed like hours of fighting and beating almost everyone there was only one person left, you look over at banner as he is sitting in a chair reading a book "what do you say banner" you yell from the centre of the room "I'll pass" he says looking up from his book for a brief moment before putting his head back down, "I would forget about banner no one can best the hulk believe me" said Steve looking at you still in shock after watching you catch both his shield and Thor's hammer. "I just want to know if someone can finally beat him" you say taunting him as you walk to wards banner. You stop just in-front of him and stare for a moment before snatching his book from his hands, he looked up at you "come one now give it back" you flip through the book quickly before throwing it across the room, you turn back around to look at banner and notice his fists are clenched "aww did banner lose his book" you say with a little laugh. You turn around to see that everyone is slowly moving back "come on guys he can't be that bad" you yell at the others as you notice them starting at banner, you slowly turn back around to see banner slowly turning green "b-banner you okay?" You say taking a few steps back "not banner" he said getting bigger and more green " RUNNNNN Y/N" you hear Steve yell from across the room " oh shit" you say and you turn and being to run.

You run to the centre of the room where you stop dead and look around at hulk coming after you, you stand still and slowly reach up to the stone on your chest with your eyes closed. As you touch the stone your skin begins to glow orange as you open your eyes to relive they are a bright orange colour. "What are you doing run" yelled tony as you held out you left hand that seemed to be a transparent orange colour now, you close your eyes one more time just before the hulk runs up to you with his fist in the air. In a split second the hulk crashes through you leaving banner laying on the ground behind you passed out as he slowly began to turn back to normal, you slowly move your hand off the stone and open your eyes to see everyone running towards the two of you. You turn around to see banner on the ground "I'm sorry banner" you say in a whisper as you blackout and hit the ground. You slowly began to wake felling like you were flying as your eyes started to open you notice you were being carried by some one, you turned your head up to see Loki's facing straight ahead. You could feel his arms and hand gripping you tightly making sure you don't fall you could feel the coldness coming of his skin and hear his heart beating fast in his chest. He looked down at you with his green eyes piercing yours and a small smile on his face "you will be alright don't worry I will take care of you, the others will look after banner" he said looking back up as he stretched one hand out the open the door to your room. He pushed the door open with his shoulder and walked over to place you gently on your bed "is banner alright, did I hurt him" you say reaching up for Loki's arm "he will be fine" he says as he grabber your hand off his arm and held it in his "will you stay with me please" you say as you look up at him standing over you "you really should rest" he said placing your hand on the bed "please" you say in a soft voice as you put your hand under your face feeling the coldness of his hands on yours "okay I will stay but not for long" he say as he turned to sit in the chair next to your bed and picked up a book off your night stand. You looked at him with a smile on his face as you began to close your eyes and drift off to sleep.

A few hours later you slowly started to wake up to notice the lights were on and some one was sitting on your bed, you slowly sat up and rubbed your eyes to seen quill staring at you "how are you feeling kiddo" he said as he placed his hand of your knee, "a bit hungry" you said as you watched quill crack a smile on his face. You turned to look at the chair where Loki was sitting before you fell asleep "where's Loki" you asked quill as you turned your head back around to face him "he left like 10 minutes when i came in to check on you, he's actually pretty nice didn't say much though" he said giving you a smile "yeah his is nice" you say as you remember the feeling of him carrying you in his arms. "We come on let's get something to eat with the other, tony has some more people for you to meet." Quill said as he helped you out of bed and down the hall towards the kitchen. "Look who still alive everyone" quill said as you walked into the kitchen to see everyone staring at you, quill helped you over to the table, you saw Steve jump up out of his seat and pull your chair out for you to sit down " thanks captain" you said taking a seat and turning to see Bruce sitting at the other end of the table. "Bruce I'm so sorry if I hurt you I really didn't mean to" you said with a small smile on your face "I'm fine Y/N, I actually just had the best sleep in my entire life" he said as he laughs and gave you a smile back.

"Alright I believe this a as good a time as ever to do some introductions" said tony as he walked into the room and stood at the head of the table. "Okay everyone this is Y/N she is a member of the gradians of the galaxy and quills adopted sister" he said gesturing to you as everyone turned and looked your way. "Y/N this is Nat, Clint, Scott and peitro" he said pointing to a woman with short red hair, the man with the bow and arrow, a man playing with magic cards and a boy with white hair. "And this over here" he said turning to the over end of the table "strange and Wanda they have kindly agreed to help with your powers along with Loki who I believe you have already met" he said as he sat down in his seat. "Is dr strange or Steven" said the man with a floating red cape and he gave tony an annoyed look, "it really nice to meet you all" you said as everyone started to eat. After dinner and a bit of conversation everyone began to make their way to their rooms leaving you and Loki left at the table, "well I guess we are doing dishes then" you saw looking up at Loki who had a blank look on his face "okay then" you say as you try to stand up and start stacking plates, as you pick up a pile of plates and slowly start to walk over the the kitchen bench you feel your legs get shaky and start to collapse as you feel Loki's cold hand around your waist as he catches you from falling "are you okay" he asked as you could feel his breath on the side of your neck. I'm find I just need to put these down.

Loki walked you over the the kitchen and took the plates from your hands placing them in the sink, he turned and pick you up seating you on the counter next to him as he started to run the water,  "I can help you know" you said giving Loki and annoyed glance "we don't need you hurting yourself again" he said looking up at you. You sat for a moment in silence as you watched him clean up "so did you really name me when I was a baby" Loki stopped and placed his hands on either side of the sink, "yes I did before my father took you away from us" " why did you name me and not Thor or your mother" you asked looking down at him "because you liked me the most I use to sit with you for hours and protect you" he said looking up at you as a single tear fell on his cheek "but then my father took you away" he said as his soft look turned into anger. "Hey it's okay I'm back now and we can get to know each other" you said as you reached down to place your hand on his.
