Yeji and Lia gasped, even Yuna, they were so shocked to see Chaeryeong. They never saw Chaeryeong like this before.
"W-what happened to your arms Ryeong?" Ryujin asked worriedly, she was crying, she doesn't want or she didn't wished to see Chaeryeong like this, in this state.
There were bruises in Chaeryeong's arms, seems like it was either pinched too much, punched or pressed on too hard. Ryujin wanted to check more, Chaeryeong kept saying that her back and stomach hurts as well, Ryujin lifted Chaeryeong's shirt slowly, just enough for them to see the bruises. Ryujin knew that it was definitely a punch, she saw one of these before.
"Yeji unnie start the car please" Ryujin said as she was crying, she put the jacket back on Chaeryeong.
Yuna and Lia followed Yeji downstairs to the parking area.
"Ryujin, its hurts too much" Chaeryeong cried again
"Hey, don't worry okay? We'll go to the hospital now" Ryujin said as she caressed Chaeryeong's hair. She then helped Chaeryeong to stand up
"Ryujin, I can't stand properly, it hurts" Chaeryeong said as she was panicking. Ryujin can't stop crying as well, it hurts her too much seeing and hearing Chaeryeong in pain.
Ryujin had no choice but to carry Chaeryeong bridal style.
Ryujin carried Chaeryeong to Yeji's car, she placed Chaeryeong at the back seat and then sat beside her.
"You guys go first, I'll call Chaeyeon unnie so that they'll know" Lia said and the other three nodded.
Yeji then drove to the hospital.
"Just hang on Chaer, we'll be there in five minutes okay?" Yeji said and Chaeryeong just nodded.
Chaeryeong was leaning on Ryujin, her head resting on the elders chest. Chaeryeong cannot stop crying, it really hurts too much, it hurts Ryujin more, seeing Chaeryeong like this breaks her heart. She swore that if she knew who did this to Chaeryeong, she would never forgive the person.
"We'll be there soon Ryeong, okay?, you'll feel better when we get there" Ryujin said as she kissed the girl's temple. She closed her eyes, hoping that Chaeryeong would feel less pain later on.
"Do you think her father beat her up?" Yeji asked
"No, her father won't ever do that, he's too kind, he loves Chaeryeong unnie, as well as Chaeyeon unnie and Chaemin" Yuna told Yeji.
When they reached the hospital, Ryujin quickly brought Chaeryeong inside, nurses came rushing and helped Ryujin, they brought her to the emergency room. Ryujin wasn't allowed to go inside, as well as Yeji and Yuna.
"I hope she's fine" Ryujin said, she can't stay still, she was just too worried for Chaeryeong
Later on, a nurse came towards them.
"Are you Miss, Lee Chaeryeong's guardians?" the nurse asked
"We're here friends" Ryujin answered
"Oh, she's her close friend" Yeji said pointing to Ryujin
"Uh miss, can you come with us first?" the nurse said, Ryujin looked at Yeji and Yuna first and the two nodded, signaling Ryujin to go.
Ryujin followed the nurse to Chaeryeong's room. Chaeryeong was still crying. When Ryujin went closer, Chaeryeong held Ryujin's hand.
"It still hurts Ryujin" Chaeryeong said quietly
"Shh, its okay" Ryujin reassured Chaeryeong and kept holding her hand
"So, as you can see here miss, she has bruises on her arm, left side of her stomach and some at her back, it would take a while for it to heal but good thing is that she wasn't fractured" the doctor said
"Do you know what have caused this?" Ryujin asked
"After and x-ray, we have decided that it wasn't because she fell from the bed or she fell on the floor nor it was because of tripping down which was guessed by the other nurses. It may be caused by a punch" the doctor said
"We won't go onto surgery, we would just let her rest and drink some medicine" the doctor added
"But we will do an x-ray test and a MRI scan" the doctor said and Ryujin nodded
"Thank you doctor" Ryujin said and bowed
Chaeryeong was switched into a private room, just like Ryujin when she was sick. She was needed to move to a private room for personal reasons.
"Do you feel better?" Ryujin asked Chaeryeong
"A little, but it still hurts" Chaeryeong said and sniffed
"Unnie? are you okay now?" Yuna asked, they just got in the room
"A little" Chaeryeong answered
"Good thing we brought you here immediately" Yeji said
"Thanks unnie" Chaeryeong said and smiled softly
"Ryujin" Chaeryeong called out softly
"Mhm?" Ryujin faced Chaeryeong
"I feel a little bit sleepy" Chaeryeong said and pouted
"You can sleep if you want Ryeongie, you need some rest anyways" Ryujin said and chuckled, she caressed the younger's hair as she positioned herself to lay down.
Chaeryeong smiled at Ryujin before drifting off to sleep.
Suddenly someone knocked on the door. Ryujin stood up, it was the Lees.
"How's Chaeryeong?" Mrs. Lee asked quietly, she saw Chaeryeong sleeping peacefully.
"She's fine now eomma Lee, she just needs some rest and she just needs some medicine" Ryujin explained
"Thanks for bringing her here immediately" Mrs. Lee said and hugged Ryujin
"No problem eomma Lee" Ryujin said and chuckled
The three girls went out of the room first, so that Mr. and Mrs. Lee can have time with Chaeryeong.
"Thanks for bringing my sister to the hospital quickly" Chaeyeon said, she was outside waiting.
"No problem" Yeji said and chuckled
"Thanks guys" Chaeyeon said and hugged each one of them before going inside the room to check on Chaeryeong as well
Someone then suddenly hugged Ryujin. Ryujin looked down and it was Chaemin.
"Thank you Ryujin unnie" Chaemin said, she sounded like she cried. Ryujin just chuckled and patted the girls head.
"You're welcome Chaemin" Ryujin said and smiled at the little girl.
Chaemin then thanked Yeji, Lia and Yuna, she also hugged them before going inside the room.
The four went back to the dorm, Ryujin said she would just visit tomorrow, before and then after school, Chaeyeon texted her that they would be staying at the hospital tonight.
Ryujin was still doing her laundry, she was just scrolling through her phone while waiting for it to be finished.
"Who do you think did it?" someone asked, Ryujin turned around and saw Yeji.
"Only one person comes to my mind" Ryujin said
"Who?" Yeji asked
"Minjun" Ryujin said coldly, her other hand was forming into a fist.
I'm going to kill you for doing this to Chaeryeong, Minjun. Ryujin thought.
