Chapter 02

"Pumasok ka" sabi ko kay Charles na tinatangkang umabsent para samahan ako kuno sa 40th day ni Kyle. Alam ko na iyang galawan ni Charles, gusto niya lang talaga umabsent. Tinatamad yan pumasok.

"Wala kang kasama" pagpipilit niya

"Meron" I said "Just go.. di na'ko bata"

He pouted but still went to the school anyway. I texted Andrew and told him that I will be absent and if ever there's an assignment... just sent it to me. He's the only classmate I have contact to. The others? I refuse to communicate. I don't have social media nga e.

[To: Andrew] I won't be able to attend classes. I would appreciate if u'll send the Activities Due. Thanks!

[From] Andrew: Okay

Kyle's family wasn't that okay with me so I don't really expect that much from today's event. Like the other people, they're blaming me for Kyle's death. Pero hindi ko naman ginusto e, walang may gusto nung nangyari. Funny how people would just want to put someone on blame because it's hard to accept the lost.

Nahirapan din naman ako, ah.

Good thing, Kyle's Aunt and Cousin were okay with me kaya sinundo nila ako mula sa bahay. His cousin, Ate Madelyn, and her mother specially favored me oddly more than Kyle the cousin himself.

"How are you, Charlotte?" Ate Madelyn asked "Are you doing well?"

"Yes" I answered "How about you?"

"I am" she smiled at me "Mamaya wag kang aalis sa tabi namin ni Mama baka kung ano pang magawa sayo nung mga bruha"

I smiled at them. I appreciate how they care for me.

But I'm not nervous on facing Kyler's family. Ewan ko ba. Abnormal ata ako.

Even with the awkward atmosphere and silent treatment Kyler's family's giving me right now in their house.. hindi talaga ako kinakabahan. I know that at some point, I was on fault but I don't deserve the entire blame. They are being petty and unreasonable. Hindi ko ginusto ang nangyari. And hangga't alam ko ang totoo, hindi ako magpapadala sa pangm-manipulate nila.

I've been through enough pain

"Oh my!" Nagulat ang lahat sa biglaang pag buhos ng juice saakin nung Ate ni Kyler. Grape juice was spilled all over my clothes including the denim jacket I wore.

She made it look like an accident. It's obviously not.

Di ko na kaya, I stood up and grab my stuff.

I don't know where I was walking exactly. I'm very lost, honestly. I'm just walking around the side walk when I walked out their subdivision. It was near the road. Dapat pala ay nagpasama nalang talaga ako kay Charles dahil muka akong tanga ditong naglalakad mag-isa, tapos madumi ang damit.

Now where will I go?

I went to a mall nearby. I'm not a fan of malls, crowds and all that. I also don't like spending my money on coffee shops, boutiques or shopping. My mom does all that pretty much for all of our siblings. O kaya uwi ni Papa galing abroad. I'm really not a fan of spending too much money. I'd rather save up for my future..

But right now.. it wouldn't hurt to try naman 'no? Minsan lamang naman ako gumastos.

I'll make sure it's worth the purchase
