Currently, Yui and I were sitting at a small table in the corner of the cafe. Close enough to people so no vamps would be able to kidnap us, but also far enough so no one could hear our conversation.
Yui had modestly ordered a white chocolate late. I on the other hand went all out and ordered the strongest coffee with three shots of espresso and proceeded to dump way too much sugar into it. I also ordered a few sweets from the bakery section in to-go boxes thinking we may need them later.
We sat in awkward silence just sipping our drinks until I decided to finally break it.
"Guess I should start from the beginning huh?" I asked with a smile.
Yui meekly nodded yes and so I began. I started from the night I was in my room watching the trashy vampire anime. I even went into detail about the little mall jail experience we had, which got a laugh out of her. When I told her about the failed date to the zoo she was very interested in how I survived kidnapping Kanato's teddy. Soon after that, I was telling her about the mysterious man that had thrown me into her dimension. Finally, I gave her the breakdown of how I met the Mukamis and came to be in their care. I could tell she was shocked by the fact I willingly entered the halfling's house.
"That about sums it up, got any questions?" I ask after finishing my story.
Yui, no longer meek and shy but rather intrigued and curious, starts firing away. "So you're from another dimension? And they only bit you a few times? How did you survive them all that time? Also, why would you willingly enter the Mukami house?"
I laugh at her curious excitement before answering her questions. "Yeah, I kinda belong to another dimension where you and the vamps just exist as an otome game. Oh, and according to Ayato my blood sucks so maybe that's why? Though he was mad when he found out he wouldn't be the first to drink my blood. And girl I have no clue I felt on the brink of insanity. As for the Mukami thing, where else was, I supposed to go?"
Yui looks at me in wonder before responding. "I guess you're right but it's still dangerous to stay with them."
I take the last sip of my coffee before placing the empty cup on the table. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Now mind if I ask you some questions?"
Yui nods her head in agreement and I ask the question I've been dying to ask the whole time. "Aren't you supposed to be dead?"
The girl in front of me freezes for a second. She takes a moment to respond to my question. "I did die, yes, but Karlheinz brought me back somehow."
I lean closer and look at her seriously. "What do you remember from when he brought you back?"
Yui shakes her head in defeat. "I don't remember much but I think I remember him saying something about Eve and Adam."
I sit there in silence after hearing that and think to myself. While I'm doing that Yui asks a question.
"Do you know what he meant? You said you did research on us in your world so you must know something." She asks.
I let out a small sigh. "I did research on the guys but mainly them and just enough to know their personalities and anything that could help me. I did look into Karlheinz but I didn't understand much. You know in my world you guys are an otome game with multiple routes and games. It's kinda hard to understand everything going on. All I know is that guy is fucked up and the world's worst dad."
Yui giggles at my last comment and I laugh with her. I turn to look outside the window and notice a bat hovering nearby and watching us. I then turn back to face Yui. "Don't worry, we'll figure this out together. Anyway, that weird guy who shoved me into your world called me the Eve of my world so we're in this boat together. For now, though I think it's best we start heading to the Sakamki's."
Yui gives me a look of confusion and I point outside to the bat watching us. When she notices she lets out a small squeak before hurrying to get up.
"Relax, relax, no need to hurry. They obviously haven't come to get us yet their just watching for now. I bet Reiji's just waiting to ambush us as soon as we leave and there are fewer people." This doesn't calm Yui's nerves but I grab her arm along with the sweets and tug her outside with me to greet the bat.
I stand near it and smile widely. "I'm going to assume Reiji's the one your reporting to so if you can hear me Reiji no need to worry! Yui is perfectly safe with me and I'll have you know she is perfectly capable of walking with me back to your place. So no need for a pickup. I'm still traumatized from the last teleportation taxi.
Yui looks at me in confusion and asks. "Were walking back?"
I smile brightly and respond. "Yup gotta walk off all that sugar and energy."
Yui lets out a sigh. "It's a very far walk you know."
I just laugh in response. "Even better. Gives us time to think about our impending doom. Now, lead the way please!"
Yui just shakes her head and lets out a small laugh, and so we begin our journey to the Sakamki's mansion with a small bat stalking us the whole way.

AN: Sorry for no new chapter last week! I received a new otome game last week and was bing playing that so I had no time to write. Lucky for you guys I managed to reach 100% completion yesterday. I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. I honestly can't wait to develop the friendship between our main girl and Yui. Yui just seems so sweet and innocent the polar opposite of our main girl. I'm sure though our main girl will teach her a few things. As usual please comment and vote!
