Chapter 9

She walked into the dining room with stares pointed at her. Chester,Mama and that guy that always followed Chester all stared at her more like GLARED at her. She took her seat next to Papa and started to eat. "Laceine I would love to take you for a stroll tonight?" Chester said looking at her. "No thank you Chester I have some um other things to do maybe another time." She had not seen Will all day and she wanted to tell him about the entry! "Lacey you are going for a walk dear." Her Mama said giving her another glare. "I thank you for the offer Mama and Chester but as I have said maybe another time." She didn't give them time to answer she left but as she left her Mama said something that sent chills down her spine. "Lacey perhaps that school WOULD be a good idea." Lacey didn't pay attention she just went to her room  and opened up her French song book. She opened the book to the page her teacher had told her and read the song singing as well as she could. "Ma chérie comment le monde peut briller lorsque vous êtes sur la salle. Comment mon cœur désire est que vous mon chéri mon amour chéri. Le monde semble s'arrêter lorsque vous marchez et je me tiens là comme jamais auparavant. Vous devez penser que je ressemble à un sanglier." She stopped that was the end. Really? That was the song? All she got out of it was that this guy liked a girl named lou and she must think he looked like a boar. Well it certianly wasn't the love song she was expecting. It meant The apple tree is where one could see. A fountain holds more then a box. What did that mean. It wasn't Emma's though she seemed to sign everything E.M.B this wasn't signed at all but looked like it was written in a hurry and the paper was normal paper it wasn't aged at all. It was strange being written in french...She would ask her french teacher maybe he knew. She saw Will and quickly told him all she had learned. "That's great Lace! I do have to go Lacey I am so sorry Chester is on me if I don't get this list done he will get my Dad fired!" Lacey's anger rose. "Oh no he won't you go Will I will take care of that devil!!!" She marched off to Chesters "office". The guy had practically moved in! No doubt to keep watch on what he was hiding...?
