Fort Edron is less of a Fort but more of barracks surrounding a large open field. They have no defensive walls and they have no cannons. Fort Edron is a training facility for the world's finest calvary. Armed with bows, swords, and lances they have experience clearing entire armies; to be honest, they always put us to shame when we felt we were at the breaking point. Fort Edron is also a factory for military weapons such as catapults and the more devastating trebuchet. Many of the weapons that had saved my platoon when I was not but a Squier came from this facility. If there were anywhere where we would stop Blut Sha, It would be here.

I wake up to the eerie silence of a smoldering campfire still exhausted from the night before. My men and I did not get much sleep last night as we could not get the sight of Blut Sha out of our heads. I'm quite surprised we were not slaughtered in the middle of the night by a stray tribe of goblins; some of the Squires screamed awake due to night terrors. To hide our position by putting out the simmering fire with the water from my cantine. The water hit the smoldering campfire and hissed similar to the mighty Griffin startling the men awake.

I tell the men "Wake up, we have a destination to get to, and we are already behind." but I can tell on the men's face that they were not ready for such a journey. I make an accommodation that we will hunt for food and have breakfast before we head towards Edron. Sir Gaglos and his squire Young Trula volunteer to hunt food as Gaglos was a bow and arrow instructor and Trula could still use training. I figure that the hunt should not be difficult as deer frequent the area this season.

Sir Gaglos asks Trula "So son, are you ready to put your skills to the test?" Trula eagerly accepts his challenge, without hesitation. They head into the woods in search of breakfast. Entering the woods Gaglos and Trula stumble upon a pack of wolves, not many though, just three; a mother and her cubs. They try to back off as to leave the wolves alone. Unfortunately, the mother wolf snarled and lunged at Trula and bit his ankle, Gaglos takes out his sword and swings at the beast but misses. The Mother wolf attacks Gaglos but luckily it chomped down on his armored gauntlet. Sir Gaglos attempts to pull a dagger to slay the beast but drops it in a struggle. Trula while still on the ground shoots an arrow at the beast, but misses hitting a tree instead. the beast releases its jaws from Gaglos and snarls at Trula; Sir Gaglos attempts to grab his dagger but gets bit again by the wolf. By a stroke of luck, Trula manages to stand and tackles the wolf allowing Gaglos to slay the wolf. He plunges his dagger deep into the wolf's neck, killing her instantly. Both of the cubs ran away upon the death of their mother, the pups will likely die.

Moving further into the woods Sir Gaglos and Trula hear a twig snap to the left of them, they turn to reveal a young hungry ogre that is 7 feet tall. The Ogre sees them and turns in their direction Gaglos raises his sword and prepares for a fight. Trula shoots his bow and strikes the ogre's hand making it drop its club. the ogre leaves the club behind and approaches faster. Trula shoots again but pierces his shoulder, not even making him stop. The ogre approaches Gaglos and attempts to grab him, but Sir Gaglos dodges its attack. Trula drops his quiver of arrows by mistake. Sir Gaglos slips between the legs of the monster and prepares to strike him from behind. With a fearsome thrust, Gaglos stabs through the belly of the beast spilling its organs. the beast falls with a mighty Thud shaking the ground around them.

Sir Gaglos and Trula continue in the woods, but more cautiously than before. After hunting tirelessly they finally find a deer. The deer was frail, and barely had any meat on its bones, but never the less Trula shot it with his bow and proceeded to carry their meal back to camp.

They get back to camp with their less than impressive prize and preceded to gut it and cook its meat. I barely got a meal but at least it was something. We start our journey following Thara's Trail, It is the safest and quickest way to Fort Edron. The trail is famous for its wandering traders, if we get lucky enough we will find a butcher who will sell us something more filling. Along the trail, we run into merchants selling jewelry, clothes, and other things useless for knights in need of sleep and food. Then suddenly around a sharp corner hidden by thick brush lay an old wooden wagon that appears to have been burnt to a crisp. We inspect the wagon checking for survivors or clues that it was from Blut Sha when suddenly a voice behind us cheerfully exclaims " yoohoo! Potions for sale!" we turn around to see a young mage about 15-17 dressed in a blue and red robe standing next to a table full of potions. I turn back around and notice that the burnt wagon has turned into a magnificent iridescent carriage. The mage says " You knights look awfully tired, I didn't need to use my powers to see that!" I turn back in awe, but the mage has suddenly grown to appear 25 years old and is now holding a wooden staff. Sir Ruflon, impressed with his magic, questions the mage on of his form asking to see his true self; The mage comforts Ruflon by confirming that he was indeed now in his true form. I turn back to the carriage to see that its iridescent color has gone away. I compliment the mage saying "Your powers are quite impressive, I have never seen anything like it." the mage gives a smile accepting the compliment. "Now, now," said the mage" would you like to purchase any potions?" I thought about it for a second and ask him "When we first found you, you were hidden as a burning carriage. why?" he answered with "I can only make the carriage take the form it has been in. When my father was alive, the carriage was infused with magic and glimmered in the light. After he passed the magic went with him leaving just a white carriage behind." he ended there, but I could tell there were more to his tale. I ask him why it was burning he answered " hours ago his home, located northeast of the trail, was in the path of Blut Sha. They did not stop, they destroyed his home, killed his mother, and burned the carriage." he just stood there, the thousand-yard stare as he remembered what happened earlier that day. I tell him that we need someone of his abilities to help us fight against Blut Sha. After consideration and breaking a sweat he reluctantly agreed because he was alone and had nothing else to fear but Blut Sha; plus he wanted to train the mage squire.
