I came in walking with some mugs and hot coffee mixed with vanilla creamer sitting next to Lucius and Luciano wondering what he would say about that day. To be honest it kind of frightened me knowing how they died. It tends to make me wonder what caused all of this but now there's no more secrets, no more lies, it's time for the honest truth from him now. "You see Lucius, Ashley, there was a rivalry going on with a big crime boss down in Rome. One in particular that Lorenzo Lucius's father thought he could stop himself. We were ultimately wrong, and because of that Lorenzo..." he paused for a bit trying not to break in front of Lucius and I and we both placed a hand on his shoulder saying in unison. "It's okay uncle Luci take as much time as you need." He smiles for a good second then it vanishes as he goes back to telling what happened. "Lorenzo and his wife were assassinated that includes your parents Ashley, their powerful company now is left in your hands and your hands only." I take a moment to process all that he's said as I realize I am the true CEO of a company that was built with the blood sweat and tears of my parents but now question why they were assassinated until Lucius broke the silence. "Uncle Luci what I don't understand is why we're they assassinated, what was their reason to be killed in a crash?" "You see the thing is both you and Ash don't know how Alessandro is when it comes to getting his way, he will stop at nothing to get what he wants even if it means wiping out the house of Terracciano to ashes." I nod my head in agreement. "Babe he's right about that you know, is there a different alternative that we can bring him down?" I ask full of curiosity. "Actually there is but it's a suicide mission if that's what you're wondering." "So how can we figure this out without losing people?" I take a few sips of my coffee while Lucius looks ready to hear that answer. "I'm listening uncle, just give me the order and I'll make sure it happens." Every time his face turns red it makes my heart flutter and gives me the urge to just kiss him and make him into a hot mess for my own personal pleasure. "Shley, Ashley." I snap out of it as I hear Luciano yelling out to me. "Yes?" "Quit eye fucking your fiancé for right now, we have important things we need to talk about." "It's alright uncle Luci just let her, it's not like I don't do that too." He chuckles and smiles winking at me which earns a heated and flustered expression from me. "H hey that's not fair." "Are you two done yet?" Luciano exclaims and asks. "Yes we're done uncle Luci." "Good, cause I don't like being the third wheel here, now going back to your parents deaths, Lorenzo was trying to create peace with Alessandro but we knew what Alessandro really wanted out of the deal." "Which was what exactly Luciano." I asked curiously. He cleared his throat as he gave me that worrisome look. "What?" "Luciano you might want to hold her hand for this one." "Why what's wrong?" We both say in unison. "He wanted to marry you Ashley and basically make you a part of his collection of mistresses." Hearing that hit me hard as I didn't expect those words to come from Luciano about Alessandro considering how scary powerful he is. "But why me?" I asked curiously. His response was something that surprised me. "You're the spitting image of your mother and he'll stop at nothing to get to you even if it means killing Lucius or even me." "I I...don't know what to say." "There's nothing to say other than you'll be protected by Lucius."
"But wait what we're my parents names Luciano?" "From your fathers side, his name was Demetrius Romano or Dimitri Romano for short, and your mother's name was Serena Fradella." "So I took my mother's maiden name." "Only to protect you from Alessandro." "So what about me uncle Luci?" " you my boy, have your mothers last name just like how your fiancé will in the near future, but be weary that your kids will never be safe if you both decide to have any anytime soon." "Fair point." "So what now?" "You have a meeting to attend to with the big wigs over in the Parco Del Valentino tomorrow morning, don't worry about escorts I'm sending some of my best men with you." " okay, now all we have to worry about is the attire, right?" Luciano nods as Lucius walks out of the room while I follow him out to see what's wrong.
