I was asleep, rather peacefully. Flipping on my right side as I felt the refreshing cold of my white silk pillows. Apparently my curtains weren't closed all the way allowing a beam of the broad day sunlight to force its way through the small opening of my also white curtains. I woke up before my alarm wakes me up. Man, that is the worst. I slowly sit up in my bed. I stretch my arms letting out a low yawn. I put my bare feet on the cold tiles of my bedroom floor and begin my 22 step journey to my bathroom. I walk in turning on the light but then quickly closing my eyes as I am blinded by the brightness. I slowly blink and open my eyes more fully to get used the bright lights in my to big of a bathroom. I mean come on what does one person need two sinks for? Not to mention both a shower and porcelain bathtub. I walk over to my large mirror which covers half of the wall. I observe the monstrosity that stands before me. A stick figure. My flat chest, my bony arms, the scars and bruises that cover my stomach like a blanket. I look at my face. My slightly bushy eyebrows, the dark circles underneath my eyes. I was starting to undress more fully so I could get in the shower when the was a subtle knock on my thick and also white door. Why is everything white?
" Daniela? Sweety are you up?" My mom peaked through the crack of my door in which she just partially opened.
" Yeah ma I'm in the bathroom I'm about to get into the shower I will be down for breakfast in about an hour" I told her.
"Okay baby" My mom closed the door and walked away. Stacey and Trevor are not my real parents they adopted me when I was 3 months old. My birth mother left me at there front door, I know, talk about cliche. Stacey and Trevor are very wealthy. So that explains the big bedroom and even bigger bathroom. They really spoil me, getting me things here and there. They never like to see me unhappy. My favorite thing about them is that they love me, just the way I am. So it doesn't matter if I don't have a round chest and big butts like the other girls, they think I'm perfect. So, of course I can't tell them about what is happening at school. I am now fully undressed. I gaze upon my naked body and without my clothes you could see how the bruises inch past my shoulders. And how the scars travel to my upper thighs. How you could see my rib cage sneak above the surface. How flat my chest is. I slowly turn myself around. From this angle you could truly see how thin and symmetrical my figure really is. I open the glass door to my shower and turn on the hot water. I feel the water to make sure it's hot enough and it is. I step in and allow the hot water to run down my hair, down my back and stopping at my feet. I move allowing the hot water to run its course down my face, and down my scrawny length. I reach for my shampoo which has the vague smell of lavender. I poor it I to my palms and begin to massage it through my straight-black-shoulder-length hair. I rinse it out feeling the delicate soap suds run down my back. Once I'm done I grab my loofah squirt my body wash on and began the gently scrub my body because I don't want to put too much pressure on my bruises. I rinse of and then take note of how the glass doors of my shower fog up. I draw a smiley face using my right index finger. I laugh at the immaturity. I finish up in the shower. I step out onto the small rug in front of the door so it catches all the water that is dripping. I grab a white fluffy towel off of the rack above my toilet and wrap my petite body in it. I go over to one of my two sinks and open up the cabinet that sits above the towel rack. I take out my face wash and I turn on my sinks hot water. I rinse my face with the hot water. I pour a quarter sized dot of face wash on the tips of my fingers. I lather the white soapy substance into a thin layer in my palms. I bring my small bony hands up to my round face and begin to cleanse. Once finished I wash of all the soap with cold water. I apply my face moisturizer, my serum, sunscreen, lip gloss and mascara. I'm still ugly but okay. I walk out of my bathroom and go over to my big and you guessed it white dresser. I pulled open the top drawer for some underwear and a sports bra. I go into my second to last drawer and pull out some regular grey sweatpants and a plain black tee. I threw on my close. I picked up my room and went down stairs for breakfast
