Chapter 5

After receiving the Bulgari necklace, Jennie felt more guilty than happy. It was clear that she was the one who was responsible for spending money but, she had been receiving gifts.

Jennie didn't have the mood to wear this necklace at all so she put it in the drawer.

Because Lisa was injured recently, Grandfather Manoban hired a private doctor to check up on Lisa's injury every few days.

Every time a private doctor examined him, Jennie was almost present every time. Although Lisa said that the matter had nothing to do with Jennie, Lisa was driving the car she bought. So she still felt responsible somehow.

One week before the shooting of his new TV series, a private doctor came over to check Lisa again.

The doctor's eyes were puzzled: "Strange, your hand heal so fast? it usually takes a while to get a sprain."

Jennie who was sitting aside heard the doctor's words and felt relieved. Fortunately, it did not delay Lisa's filming.

However, Grandpa Manoban's thoughts are different from those of Jennie, and he confirmed again and again: "Is everything all right?"

The doctor nodded: "The wound on his hand is completely healed, and there are no signs."

As soon as the words fell, Jennie noticed that she had a gaze on her, and she turned to look around and found that Grandpa Manoban was looking at her with a smile.

Jennie thought to herself, Grandpa Manoban would not put this credit on herself, it really has nothing to do with her. After she sent Lamborghini, didn't Lisa have a car accident directly?

Jennie guessed it right. Grandpa Manoban really thought it was Jennie's doing, which made Lisa's wounds heal faster.

Grandpa Manoban looked at Jennie with a look of relief, it seemed that the fortune teller was right, he had to give Jennie more pocket money.

Jennie didn't know what Grandpa Manoban thought. She sent Grandpa Manoban and the doctor,  she didn't directly go to her room but went to Lisa's instead.

After all the people left, Lisa couldn't help but lean on the back of the chair. Whether his hand was healed or not, it would not affect his mood. He looked at the script placed on the table and read it carefully.

Hearing the footsteps of Jennie, Lisa lifted his gaze at her.

Jennie didn't enter the room, but leaned on the door and spoke to Lisa: "I'm going to be in your film crew." 

Meaning, they would meet each other on the set.

Lisa understood Jennie's concerns, and his clear voice sounded: "You don't have to worry, we will pretend to be strangers when outside."

"You are Mrs. Manoban at home, and we are strangers outside."

Jennie thought so, she nodded, "Okay."

Lisa's black eyes looked at Jennie, and a slight arc of the corner of his lips curved: "So far, we have cooperated very well. Am I right, Mrs. Manoban?"

It is clear that Lisa has no feelings for Jennie, but the words "Mrs. Manoban" were said by Lisa; it had a different vibe to it.

Jennie smiled: "Well then Mr. Manoban, may we have a happy cooperation."

Lisa also raised an eyebrow: "Happy cooperation, Mrs. Manoban."

Today was the first day of filming for the TV series. After Lisa left, Jennie slowly went downstairs to go to the location.
